Fb is actually pretty safe with it's safety settings.
You can give info that you want to give.
But you do need to give your DOB, but you can lie. Fb always asks for my phone number and I am like ... Noooooope
You can decide who sees your posts, I have it set up as my friends can see the posts, I am not quite sure if friends of friends can see them (that is another option). Or you can have it as public (which is kinda stupid imo)
So many people try to friend me from overseas, and I am like wtf ... I don't even know you *decline*

As I'm somebody who always reads all the agreement pop-ups, I can guarantee you that there is nothing safe about FB. Basically they are allowed to take any information of any device that you use to log into your facebook account.
So if you have ever used your phone to go to your account they have your whole address book, and pretty much everything else.

But even if that isn't in the equation, the whole people can sent you friend requests even if you put on every privacy filter out there.
I have no interest in the people that tormented me in the past can annoy me by sending me friendrequest every damn moment. :}

Yeah, Fb gets access to your contacts and wants to add them to your friend list (if you don't have them) and I am like ... No

omg really?! I always get Indian looking people wanting to friend me and I am like ... who the hell are you, cause I don't add anyone I don't know.

Yeah, it's the whole reason I stay as far away from FB as possible.
Because my brother has an account I kept getting emails from them saying 'Hey, this person is on facebook and they are related to these people. So we assume that you are related to these people. Make an account and never miss a moment in there lives again'.
All I could think was. "If I want to know what goes on in their lives I would ask them personally not use a site that apparently doesn't give shit about personal privacy." :}
