Okay so each month, people who donate a sufficient amount get a "Gift of the Queen" as a thank you! You can go to the "Donate" page to get a preview of each month's thing, and specifics.
They're always golden recolors (and sometimes with new details added) of older items. There aren't that many of each one floating around the site!
But... each month the top 5 posters (excluding "word games" and "Spam" forum posts) are gifted with that month's GotQ. So if you post a lot in December, then in early January you'll get December's GotQ. And if you posted a bunch in November, then on December 1st you got November's item, which was a golden shepherdess staff. Becca sold me hers.
Anyhow.

Ehhhh.. something to think about; if you save up that little a month and do it all in one month enough to get a GotQ, you can then sell that GotQ in the Market for a few more and help you on with that goal.

Exactly, since the limit to get a gift of the queen is 20$, I suggest you follow Akili's advice.
Some of the gifts can go for quite high on the market.

It's twenty a month, though, not twenty $.
So it'd be just once, I think?
Save up $50 to do, that's a queen's gift, you can sell that for 2 or 3 quite easily and possibly up to 5 and then you're ahead on your savings.
