They only make a good couple in a best-friends sense, because they are so very different and thrive in distinct environments which do not overlap much. So spending time as friends works well because it is merely visiting the other in their milieu while if they were a romantic couple to work well one of them would have to live in the others', which is not in balance and would cause long-term trouble.

Oh dear no. One seems to thrive in a tropical world filled with greenery and lively people, while the other seems to prefer a rainy hometown filled with apathetic people. Too different.

... well, both are very amiable and well-meaning but I think their fundamental differences would be a bit of waste if they were a couple. They could make it work but it would not bring them much joy or new perspective or stability.... they would be better off acquaintances rather than as a close couple.

Hmm, well they're both a bit demonic in nature, but one looks like they'd suck your blood dry and the other would suck your happiness dry. Not quite compatible, if you ask me.
