That's great! I never experienced that after middle school. I also went to a university that was sort of isolated so it had always been called a "commuter school" and students in my department wasn't so very social. I took math/physics classes and went to the student union room for those departments and WOW there's always someone there. It was a bit of a culture shock. For being in social sciences, Linguistics students aren't very social. I did join some clubs and that helped, though.

I would not say I was close-knit with anyone besides a few friends.
I didn't like many people at my school and or they were mean to me.
I hate everything about that school now.
Only positive was my friends, but I haven't seen them in years.

I'm sorry, that's so sad. I had friends but I guess I wasn't all that close to them, either. I do see them from time to time, though. I make an effort to, when I have the time to. The others weren't too mean to me, though.
I actually had more mean people in the small middles school than the large high school. Benefits of anonymity, I suppose. But now, I think back on those times, and I wonder if some things my friends did were malicious in nature.
I'm pretty paranoid that way.

My friends are on Facebook, but I don't want to talk to them.
They're successful and I'm not.
I feel terrible.

I started developing depression and anxiety issues and they eventually exploded and I quit school.

I know what that feels like. I want to meet up with friends but at the same time I don't want to because "what are you up to nowadays" is going to come up and I dread having to talk about it.

I know. And I know you're working very hard to get better.
And I think that's very admirable.

I wish I didn't have issues with socializing.
It makes me so unhappy and scared.

This little old lady was talking to me yesterday about her cat.
I was polite, but rushed away and I felt like that was rude.
Now I still feel bad xD

Never seen her before.
My sister and I were looking for my cat's favorite treats and I said "Is this the chicken? No, she likes the chicken."
And the lady said "You have a picky cat too?"
And she told me about how she's taking care of her daughter's, I think, cat and how she's from out of town and they only sell his kind at this store.
And she talked to me for a little bit.

I want to be good at socializing, but people scare me xD;
I feel so uncomfortable and I want to walk away.

Yeah, I understand. Especially when they're strangers at a public places. Like, why are you talking to me? Right? lol But baby steps are okay as long as they're steps forward, right?
