Rather than water proof, I'm waiting for a ciment proof phone. I always drop mine and sometimes on the sidewalk. Had to change my last phone cuz of that*sights

I always have my phone and tablet in the bath, I should probably have gone for waterproof too XD but then I also have many years behind me of reading paperback books in the bath, so I've had lots of practice with things that can't possibly get wet.

It won't help with a screen, but OtterBox cases are good for protecting the rest
I can confirm that they, at least the one mom got, isn't waterproof. She dropped her phone into the toilet once

I luckily have yet to drop any of my electronics in water o_o occasionally the jack gets water damaged from rain/me keeping my phone in the bathroom whilst I bathe/shower. That gets annoying.

I also haven't broken any phone on the cement. Do you usually keep cases on your phone Miky?

Same here

Oh, before smartphones were big, but the flip phones where the front was the phone but you could open for full keyboard was new, and the ones that did double flip were as well. Former was pretty bulky, latter was thin as all heck
We also have freezie cups, works like ice but without watering down the drink. It causes a ring of water as the ice melts
We drank Pepsi and the like from them
Mom tended to have paper on the table or whatever she set it on, so the paper would have the water spread
She had her phone on it, NBD, because it's huge
Well, my thin one got hit by it once, only survived cuz of rice, and not having been thoroughly soaked
Mom was surprised because her phone had been there all the time and was fine. Well, yeah, bigger phone, thicker case, more to work through and thus more resistant. Mine? Much less to work through, so more vulnerable. And somehow that never processed in her mind. Then a few months later she washed said phone -.-"

I do, but the first thing that broke was the screen since it fell pretty bad. But it was still usable since it wasn't shattered. Unfortunaly it fell once more and the speacker died on me. Had to let go of it after that.

I'm really clumzy with my hands so I try not to invest in expencive things that I might drop.

I'm almost 30 and I've only had 5 phones so far I think. I only actually broke one (it was also my favorite, to this day), because back then I was a teenager who loved throwing it on the ground when my temper took over. I'm surprised it didn't break sooner...

The lifespawn of my phones is actually 1 year. Don't ask me why, that's as long as they last.
One year I just shut my phone cuz the battery was low and it refused to ever open again. And there was nothing wrong with it... I think it's a curse XD
