Honestly, I've been lacking the motivation to draw lately and school isn't helping with that. :qhehe: I used to have little challenges set up, but that's not working as well especially now that I don't have a nice drawing desk anymore since I moved back in with my parents (finances, bleh). Maybe I should attempt to sell art as well in order to get back into it, or take part of contests, but my anatomy skills aren't all that great. XD

Drawing for other people in kofk really pushes me to draw. I want to get better at drawing, but I know it only comes with practice.. but I get lazy.. >>;
There are many contests right now, I believe. And you can always do an art trade with me! :mccool:

Mine aren't either c': But the program I use, Clip Studio Paint, has references I can rely on!

Indeed, I am kind-of the same way, although I am not sure if motivational issues and laziness are the same thing - I do have many ideas for drawings I want to make for myself, but I just can't motivate myself to do them (and for now I have a few school deadlines so I can't).

Heh, I would probably do that contest just to earn the funds to hold my own contest, haha. XD And the thing with art trades on KofK is that I am able to actually afford art here normally, at least a few pieces, but there is also the fear I can't meet up to their quality... so there's that.

Ooh nice, it has built-in references?

Same uxu And sometimes when I do draw and it doesn't go the way I plan, I just get irritated orz

Not a terrible idea, the prizes is yours to keep now haha
Honestly, I'll be happy with any art for my OC. I would request, but I need my funds >>;

Not really sure if I should call it a reference?? But it's like a model? That you can re-position?

I fear everyone's experienced that at least one way or another, heh.

I mean, I could attempt to draw your OC since I wouldn't complain supplying you funds for more than one artwork anyway, but that's up to you. xD I'm not sure if I have good examples of what my art is at right now though, and I've been procrastinating replying just because I didn't feel like searching for it.

Anything you use to create your art is a reference in a way. I mean, if I would make a moodboard just for the feel of an art piece, that'd still be a reference even if I ended up ignoring half of the images on there... :qt: I'd consider anything with positions that help me create a drawing a reference. I just realize I can use the built-in skeleton in my 3D program for that as well, sheesh! I should've thought of that.

Ooh I didn't realize your OC was in the first post, yeah I'll just see when I feel like it then; I now got my weekend stuffed with other things now that all my school deadlines are handed in, haha!

It's called 3DS Max, because I am a student in game design I have a free student license and they have this thing called a 'biped' and you can move it around. I just never thought about using it for 2D art. I'm sure that other 3D programs like Maya and the free one called Blender should have a skeleton as well since you normally use them for 3D animation.
At least I think Blender was free.

I use paint tool sai. Say, do you get clip studio for free, or is it a paid thing?

Autodesk indeed, so you're already familiar with that? 0.0;

I have the same when I use anything other than Photoshop. I mean, Photoshop doesn't have stuff like that as far I know of, but for some reason I treat every program so differently that it never gives me the same comfort. I did try Sai before, which is where I base above experience on. XD

Clip Studio seems like a paid thing when I look it up. :qo:
