@River, look. I still have an anxiety about meeting my brother-in-law, though I know he's in London. I still have super huge anxiety whenever my grandma says my sister will come over with a huge smile on her face. It makes me sick just to think about how I could meet her, because I feel hurt by her. I used to fear meeting her friends. I'm over the last bit, but still have issues with the first two. Despite how ridiculous it is. But when I meet her, I mostly ignore her, give her the cold look. Don't talk to her, barely say hi. Because she does not deserve my attention. I just keep on doing my own thing, even though her voice from behind the wall makes me want to go there and choke her.

Mentally distancing yourself is hard. Took me a while, but my situation was slightly different, I was ambivalent about my sister, not bf's ex. So I was kind of attached to the thought she'd change and all that crap.
Your situation is easier, just give the thoughts of her a cold shoulder, don't entertain them too much
