Ahhhhhh a guide. Why isn't this sort of thing distributed to all new adults? Thank you.

For some reason I've been reading a lot about Game of Thrones on Buzzfeed. Apparently people like incest now? I don't know why but now I feel I am invested somehow. Maybe I need to go read some fanfic. Is this the loneliness setting in?

Are you going to the State Fair this weekend?

I systematize everything. You need only ask.

Definitely the isolation. Go talk to a person in your office as soon as possible.

I've heard it takes longer to watch all of GoT than it does to read the whole thing up to now. Do that first? But fanfic immediately. Fictional incest can be fine. Sometimes I ship it.

Yes. Why do you ask?

You're looking rather watermelon. I decided not to bother with most of the obviously-mellony items.

Putting together my GRFP application. I feel much more confident going into the research proposal than the personal statement. Talking about myself is super awkward. Why did I learn nothing from the grad school application process?

Is it weird that we're communicating on like five different channels right now?

What did you eat at the fair?

I decided to forego the non-obviously-mellony items. Melon all the way.

If it helps, try to think of it like you're describing another person who just happens to be exactly like you. There are plenty of examples you can read online, too. And even if it feels awkward, have other people read it, preferably people who got a GRFP already.

No.

I ate mini doughnuts, pronto pups, a bit of Dad and Jared's bacon maple and Polish sausage dogs, cheese curds, milkshake, apple cider pop, deep fried monte cristo, cookies... that might be all. Mello Yello? I tried to get poutine but the stand had a long waiting time because one of the poutine-making machines was down.

What have you been up to? Why did you go to Canes to see juggalos?

Ugggggggh. I was having a perfectly good week, and then I got my electric bill claiming that I've used 1100 kwh of electricity in the last 26 days. That's the expected usage for a family of four with a house. So now my Friday morning is reserved for dealing with that issue. Good times in apartment rental.

Now I want to go to Cane's again to make myself feel better. Even if it means seeing more juggalos.

I hope your electric bill is much smaller than mine.

Maybe it's from running an unhappy air conditioner.

Are you hemorrhaging money because your paycheck drove you mad with power?

I guess it could be the air conditioner? That wasn't around for very long, though. That would have had to be heckin unhappy.

I am trying to not hemorrhage money, but I miscalculated my food on Tuesday and had nothing for lunch. Cane's was there for me. I actually go emotional about my chicken.

Maybe they were using a lot of electricity before you moved in. For making the floor extra sticky, for example.

I also forgot food. I had no food on Tuesday, and I plain forgot it today. I also lost my wallet on Tuesday and nearly forgot it at trivia yesterday. I'm a mess.

Dang, that does sound like a mess. I have never seen you so messy. Is it because I'm too far away? Do I need to come back so your wallet is safe?

I find it a little odd that whenever we post now someone hands us a donut.

I forgot that you could change text color.

Maybe. Maybe it's just because I'm stressed from suddenly living with four strangers. They're nice strangers, but it's weird to live with them.

The ninja larps. Does that terrify you? It terrifies me.

I'm imagining somebody waiting by my desk with a box of donuts. I'll eat cookies instead.

I didn't forget.
