Aye, I'm still slowly working on that. I have tomorrow free, so more time to clean it up, yay!
Awesome! Do show us your OC if you make her!
I avoid unhealthy relationships in RP, mostly because it doesn't appeal to me? I mean, it's fine if there are problems (realistic that way), but the good stuff should balance it out at least; make it something worth pursuing.
Conflict doesn't have to happen just between the two characters involved romantically, anyways. Conflict could be more on one character's part about themselves (being held back by something, working on a problem outside the relationship, working on themselves, going through a situation) or outside forces (family doesn't accept them, friends are having problems that take priority over the relationship, wars or stuff that affects them on a large scale). If you mix and match that, then even a steady relationship will be exciting in a new way, because what affects one person also affects the other. You've just got to be creative enough to think outside of the box.
Aha, feel free to go off-track! I do it too, but I also enjoy it? More stuff to talk about!
Dude, I would love to read it! Different PoVs is always fun. It's an exercise in being able to write different voices.
Ara is working on his thing with women; he's been used by enough of them to have a clue (not even in an awful way, but you know how even people who are generally nice and well-meaning will take advantage of something/someone 'cause it's easy/available? That's the majority of it for him.) I say that, but really, he's a romantic, a humanitarian, and generally sympathetic; if someone asked for his help, he'd rather inconvenience himself than abandon them to their problems.
He's got a ton of flaws though. Tons of flaws and tons of strengths. Just a complicated guy.
Aha, he is the kind of person who is easy to befriend because he's genuine and caring of others. I think most people would want the kind of friend who'd listen to your woes and support your dreams, and even if he's not a particularly smart or strong or handsome guy, he's got that much on his side. (It's like the Hufflepuff within. XD)
When he's feeling down, Ara's able to talk to his two best friends, at least, and to his sisters. He's got a good group of people who are there for him. :)
It's fun to push a character through trials and awkward and horrible situations. Character development happens when characters are given problems to overcome. Er, Ara's gotten over some pretty bad moments in his life at this point, but he's not as lighthearted as he was when he was a kid. (Not many people are really.)
Yes, throw more ideas at me!
If you ask me who specifically, I'd have a hard time naming a delinquent character I like. Might be the whole aesthetics aspect of it for me.
I like most HxH characters too!
