Chrizine, that sounds awful, I hate such situations >.< I usually ask colleagues about it and if they still have no idea I write an e-mail. Really, at least you can try to get more specific info, it they tell you that everything is clear you can send them what you got so far? Dunno if this works like this for you.

Yes, I did not get into the courses because they were full. More people applied for it than they had spaces in it, so some of us got kicked. Unfortunately I was one of them.
Swedish bugs me the most. I could not get in last term either, but this was okay, I took Spanish instead, but now again?
And this time fewer people applied!! Last time there were 45 for 25 spaces (I understand that I got kicked, high chance), but now there were 28 people for 25 spaces - and I got kicked ._. Why I am always the unfortunate one?
Btw, I really need this course, it's not that I am doing it for fun, but it is now really part of my module plan I need to follow, I need a NSAEL course (e.g. Turkish, Arabian, Japanese, Swedish etc.) and as I already started Swedish I want to continue ._.
You see how pissed I am.
And frustrated.

I am going to call my boss now, hoping she has a solution for the work situation next Wednesday... *sigh*

Why do you even have to apply for a course that you should be in anyways? Because of your program plan you should be automatically have first hand in joining such a course Like come on, it's obligatory for you, right? Or did I misunderstand something?

Yes, you got it. It is obligatory for me to chose a non-standard average european language (which one is my chose, but I need one). Soooo it sucks. Don't know, hate the system of my uni ._.

On our uni we had the pre-defined groups, so the ones who were like you, that needed some obligatory courses, would be able to enroll. then after some time everyone else could enter the courses as well (provided that there were still places). But also with 28 to 25, I think it would have been possible to personally ask the group's professor to let you in the course manually. Is that an option for you?

Edit: a small update on my job situation. Boss was complaining and thinking outloud, that in any case, no matter if the branch will stay or close up, they will need my anyways. Just if the branch will close eventually, it will be for 6 months or so. If it's only operations being temporarily suspended, then I shouldn't be worried. But still it's kind of annoying that they are not telling us anything.
Maybe I should look for a job anyways? XD

I'm not sure I would get paid the same, let alone more XD But you're probably right, it won't hurt to look around. I just need to sit on my cv finally... /lazy

I would also suggest that you look out for other possibilities :)
