How about a puppet set?
Like strings coming down from the top of the avatar img.
The skin could have little markings to show joins.
And for giggles, a item that goes with the set is a long nose.

Oh, The background could be those crimson colored show-curtains.
Edit: name for the set, the marionette set.
Edit2: Maybe a item the avatar can hold is scissors?

A veil/s. See-through, but maybe with a pattern on it? A flower pattern (small ones) would be nice. There could be a web pattern too (Halloween?). For colors, white and black deffinitely. Dark purple would look good too.
I dont know how hard that would be...

How about-

* Crazed eyes
* A creepy and mischievous pet. Maybe a gremlin or a goblin hiding behind your shoulder and smirking.
* A really really small pet that could fit on a finger, like a pygmy marmoset or a little chameleon.

The vampire eyes are pretty crazed, now that I think about it. Hmm... okay maybe not that one. ^^;

I think someone might have suggested this (Whew! Reading 30 pages is a lot! ^^"), but I REALLY REALLY like long high collared coats. Of course, we don't have bottoms, but I still like the high collar idea.

An example would be like the ones Fai and Kurogane are wearing here:

And here's an example is an armband (personally, I think any design is cool. Maybe the letters KofK with pretty designs next to it? or for the Wuffels: KofW):

And I really like these kind of earrings! (The one that Shin is wearing that goes from his ear to his lips.) I just kind of wish it would go from the top of the ear to the bottom instead. =]:

Oh yeah! I also loved the Chyaku Norisu Scarf from Gaia. (It was too expensive for me though.. >.>) Or a scarf that kind of is so big it covers the mouth in general. I'm not sure how difficult that would be... Basically, a scarf that covers the mouth that goes WHOOSH in the back XD

Maybe have an Dark/Fallen Angel set?

The colors of the wings would be dark grey and would be ripped up a bit.
Clothing would be a cloak with a hood.
Maybe eyes could look sad or glazed over.
