Yeah, I kinda get that, since it's the most familiar religion. It's something my cousin and I have talked about before, how our upbringing reflects our beliefs.

Aye. When I was a kid, we practiced Buddhism too. I used to go to the temple pretty often, but I didn't enjoy it personally. Part of it was that I didn't really understand the religion, and part of it was that some of the temple idols really freaked me out.

I was introduced to God through a friend who was a Jehovah's Witness, but what really did it for me was when my aunt started bringing me and my brothers to church. I didn't realize it then, but the God of Christianity really appealed to me. I liked the concept of there being a creator, and that He cares for the people He created, and cares about our well-being.

When I accepted that as truth, the world didn't seem as detached and lonely. It offered me comfort. I know Christians are sometimes represented poorly by some folks who are extreme, but for me, personally, I guess what I took away from it never changed. We're loved, so we should love others; we're accepted, so we should accept others. Knowing that encouraged me and helped me grow as a person.

I have friends of all sorts of beliefs though, and they are who they are for a reason. I find it really interesting to be able to listen and discuss with them about it. :3

i don't mind going to temple personally (although i wish i could deal without the permeating scent of incense lol), i find it a bit fascinating from a cultural perspective if not a religious one...xP i like learning about new cultures and stuff so its interesting to me. also, if i could walk into every church i see, i would totally do it because i like to look at things from an artistic, architectural and cultural perspective (STAINED GLASS, LIKE WHAT EVEN, ITS GORGEOUS NO MATTER WHERE IT IS). i'm not religious but at the same time religion fascinates me in the culture sense.

Aha, strangely enough, I like the smell of incense. I lived with one of my Buddhist aunts for a while, and she'd light 'em up all the time.

I get that. I enjoy learning about other people's culture and beliefs too. X3

Well it gets into everything! I have to wash my hair every time I go lol. It’s not like it doesn’t smell nice but I don’t want to be smelling it for days afterwards lol.
