I heard some sounds from the elevator, but I didn't leave the lab except to go to the bathroom. Toilet seemed to be unaffected.

Why are you reading fanfic when you should be writing? Go write some more. 100k or bust. AKA 0.1M.

I'm probably going to manage 1x my standard word count. I volunteered at the tack swap today - I entered what felt like several hundred credit cards and asked the same questions over and over and over. When I got home, all I wanted to do was eat chocolate and watch Project Runway at 1.1x speed with a bunch of junk animation framing the image so it doesn't get caught on YouTube.

So you heard the elevator victims and ABANDONED them? Only care about yourself and your toilets, I see.

Holy crap yesterday was productive. I had intended to double my usual daily word count, but I ended up doubling my TOTAL word count. I'm now at over 11,000 words. I feel so energized.

You did customer service? Gross. Why did you have to watch a weird bootleg Project Runway? I thought you and Dad had been watching it legally.

Not our lab - Cavender-Barres. Their lab mate was keeping track of them. Not my job. Besides, I had to figure out how to use the toilet without lights. I used Pokemon Go set up on the magazine rack.

Wow. Now you can nap for four days. Or go for 100k?

I was manning the credit card checkout. Enter total. Swipe card. Get signature. Offer emailed receipt. Repeat. I touched so many cards, and now I'm sick. Lost my voice completely. Croaking at the cats.

They stopped offering them free two episodes ago, as they do. Even the earlier ones are locked now. So we've been getting creative. The sneaky things people do to keep their bootlegs undetected on YouTube are pretty funny. Heidi sounds like a chipmunk when she's sped up. The first one also had a weird grainy filter over the content, but they must have decided it wasn't necessary; I'm glad, because it gave me a headache.

I think I'm going to continue NaNoing as if everything were normal. Treat is as a buffer and all that. But if I think of it as a buffer, I'll be tempted to slack, so I'm not calling it a buffer. Did you end up getting ahead at all?

Eww. Gross. I'm sorry for your suffering. Next time wear powder-free nitrile gloves? So you don't have to frighten the kitties.
People are getting sick here, too. Not me yet, probably because I don't interact with the undergrads.

I'm a bit tempted to look these up just to see the shenanigans. Sounds annoying to watch, though.

I just saw Thor: Ragnarok and it was SO GOOD. It was like one of those fanfics you start reading because the premise seems too bizarre to be real, that usually end up disappointing, but this wasn't disappointing. It was like a thirteen-year-old boy's Planet Hulk fanfic starring a Thor self-insert, but good. The beginning was kind of weak, but it really picked up and then finished strong. Incongruously comedic compared to the other Thor movies, but without messing with the characters too much.
Oh! The plot was almost exactly like that terrible Hulk vs Thor movie had a baby with Planet Hulk.

I've been ahead the whole time, and also treating it like it doesn't exist. That's the only way. I feel terrible and I can't stop because I have absolutely no buffer. No.

I think I got it from Georgiana, honestly. She gets sick and then comes into work anyway and coughs on all of us. Plus it sets an unhealthy tone of coming to work while ill for the whole lab.

Just look up one. They are the same for the whole video. If they ask you to click on a link, it's the wrong one.

Why are you telling me about a movie I haven't seen yet that you know I intend to see? Rude.

Maybe she's conducting an experiment on all of you. Seeing who's brave enough to buck the trend and decide to get better at home instead of going in to pass it on. You could be that brave person.

Hey, I gave exactly 0 spoilers. I was just super excited and wanted to squee at someone, which I couldn't do here because I have no friends. Also I'm a Loki fangirl now? I thought I was better than that, but apparently not.
I can't tell you if Hulk make peace treaty or not. That would be spoilers.
When are you going to see it?

I think that's probably not what's happening. And I can't, because I'm already at work today.

You can squee without using any intelligible words. That is acceptable. How were you not a Loki fangirl already?
But that's the only thing I need to know!
Probably when Dad gets back.

Boo on not getting better. Boo. You're going to make all your undergrads sick, aren't you? You're doing this on purpose.

Before I was firmly of the opinion that Loki was hot but also too immoral to fangirl over. He did kill eighty people in two days, you know. I do have my moral standards to consider. But now I'm just trash. Apparently. Wait, were you a Loki fangirl already?
You need to watch for yourself to learn the truth about the Hulk's hypothetical peace treaties and Jeff Goldblum's eyeliner.

Your avatar has gained a single leaf. Interesting.

Some of them have been plague-ratting it up, too. They deserve it.

I ship everything and I'm incredibly trashy. And he's exceptionally pretty. How could I not be? Are you actually surprised?

I felt like it was missing something. I decided it needed a fascinator. Was I wrong? I went back and forth for a while on this leaf (feather?) and I still don't know if it's better.
