So sometimes you celebrate Thanksgiving and other times not?

We used to have a tradition on New Years where distant families come to one house and eat rice cake soup and what not. But not really anymore...;;

Oh, I always celebrate with my friends on some Friday in November, so there's that. With family, it just depends.

Yeah, the traditions that were so intensely celebrated when I was a kid aren't kept up now that I'm an adult.

For me, it was mostly Christmas and New Years.

Oh, thinking about it, we might've stopped celebrating as consistently around the time my grandmother passed away. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of it was done for her sake.

I don't mind celebrating less though, since our church also celebrates the holidays. So there's always somewhere to go and celebrate if I really wanted to.

Not so thick it's pretty much potato and not so thin it's broth

Chunky or smooth doesn't matter

Consistency is important, but I'd prefer smooth. I like eating it with other foods, so having chunks would make it more of a mouthful lol

I like my potatoes in between smooth and chunky. Having a bit of lump here and there gives it texture.
