@jacob: I feel you with the weird rules for guys' friendship. If you know each other since elementary school, just tell him he's acting stupid. I know my bestie since middle school and whenever one of us does something stupid we don't hold ourselves, we say it, so what's the problem with you guys, being honest and straight forward is too much for ya?
And especially when it's about your gf, I'm sorry, but J should've said something. I recall there was something similar, I felt hurt about something and Ash completely neglected it, knowing how I felt, so... one of the worst feeling ever, like he won't have your back when it's about his so called friends.

Yea that's totally true! They can have their guy moments even if you hang out all together, I do not see why it's necessary to exclude you from the beginning. No one would have got hurt if he had said sth like "yea sure, let's hang out, but I would like to talk to my boys for a moment, is that okay?"

@jacob: I think some guys tend to feel observed and uneasy with their girlfriends nearby when they are also hanging out with their guys, so maybe that's that.
Ash's group doesn't mind whether girls come or not, they usually do their drinking all the same XD But I always make sure Ash doesn't mind either, becaus esometimes he needs his "guy" time without me (aka, he needs to take a break from me, I recently learned I challenge his patience at times ). But it's us, we spend way too much time together. That, and also I get bored really easily with his friends, drinking to get drunk is so boring and it makes me uncomfortable ;>_>
