I genuinely wonder how someone could think this is well written though. I mean, you guys have agreed when I tell you about the ridiculous parts. Pre-teens I could see maybe not realising how bad it is lol but they shouldn't be reading it anyway. It sounds like there are a whole lot of people out there reading books who barely know how to read and don't have any experience with good books, but then why are they reading books?
Aghhhhhh

I'm sure there are some answers in the positive reviews to this book. it has to do something that people like, to be liked. right?

I tried looking at the reviews and I got mad XD

This person says: "While I enjoyed the books storyline with its rather new genre and a very interesting twist at the end, the author seems to need a little more practice in writing more interestinly. A lot phrases were just so useless as they were plainly stating the obvious. No need for that."

And they gave it 4 stars out of 5. How can you say that the author is a bad writer but then still give it 4 stars :mcdead: They even went on to say they didn't like one of the main characters at all and were disappointed with the storyline.

I give up on people :'D

Sometimes I feel obligated to rate a book a tad higher than I want to if I won it, especially if the author said anything to me personally, or seemed nice, or signed it. I know I shouldn't, but I do. :mcblush:

That person's rating system is stupid lol. Almost as annoying as the other side, when people write a gushing review about how great and perfect something was but then give it a 4. Like, hang on, come back, tell us what was wrong with it D:

@Sanssouci: don't feel bad about it! I was once approached by an author to review his book. and it turned out to be the worst but I felt bad about giving it a bad review because he was nice. so I told him I didn't enjoy his book and wasn't ready to review it. and I didn't give any rating to it. it would be a one star otherwise. two at max. but more likely, one.

@jacobgrey: lol
what's your rating system?

Pretty much 5 if it was perfect, 4 if it was great but not quite perfect, 3 if it was about average, 2 if it was below average, and 1 if it really sucked. In other words, the correct division of points to ensure each star has equal weight XD

alright, so your system is completely subjective based on your enjoyment, right?

Yes and no. I would take off a star, for example, if the book was full of typos and mistakes (this happens regularly with classics which have been newly uploaded as ebooks because they are often typed up without proofreading), even if I enjoyed it.

That's kind of off the point though, since the review stated over and over again how much the reader disliked the book and they could only find one thing to say they liked.
