my plan is totally to go to a shelter, I personally don't care what breed my pet is, I just want a pet c':

I'd also go to a shelter / look for someone with baby kitties~

I won't go for kittens/puppies myself, I'll probably go with an older pet like 1-2 years at the least. I don't have the time to potty train and the like and I also know that once pets reach a certain age nobody wants to get them from the shelter anymore. Nearly everyone wants the littlest cutest pups and kits.

I just want a companion so if I can give an older dog or cat a nice last few years I'd be happy already c:

I totally get that but i prefer training them myself

With my first dog I went all the way and potty trained them myself and went to obedience classes etc for nearly a whole year and I loved it! c:

But I just know with my fulltime job now I won't have the time so I'd hate to get a young pet knowing I won't have the time to properly train and treat it the way it should. Puppies and kittens esp need more attention than older animals.

I love visiting people with puppies and kittens, but I know its not for me haha

Aw yes that's understandable, they need a lot of attention when they're young adopting an older cat / dog is really nice though!

A baby takes time and money too though :'D

Now that is a lil thing that's going to need a LOT of training ;'P
