Better to wastefully flush than to wastefully have your rotten, water-logged linoleum ripped up. Or whatever that stuff on your floor is. Do you remember when we did that in the house? It was horrifying (because I'm so delicate).
Please, tell me about it with little enough detail that you don't get derailed again.
I've never been filled enough with rage that I need to create a blacklist. The one I'm reading right now is close, but it's mostly just depressingly bad. I think Meshuggah is actually the physical manifestation of my rage, so I don't have any left to use.
I can't decide how much of each setting to use. If I use the characters in an otherwise fully Stargate setting, I probably have to play around with ages, which makes characterization harder. If I use the Stargate concept in an otherwise ninja setting, the already unbelievable tech level is completely destabilized and it makes no sense for some people to be FROM SPACE.
I'm not a mind map person. I always had to force them.
Oh, they are. I'm safe, though. If I marathon anything, it will be Babylon 5.
Going inside requires brief periods of going outside, or my advisor starts to think I've died. Plus, grammatically, "going inside" indicates you are currently not inside.

I don't remember much of it, but I remember not being horrified. It was kind of satisfying to watch the floor get ripped out. I'm not as delicate as you are, of course.
I'm actually considering a different, more productive derailing of my plan, that being to go back and finish my story from November. I have the end planned out in pretty good detail, so it seems like a shame to leave it incomplete. It probably won't take all of April, either, so I can still start my lesbian superhero thing.
You probably make better decisions than me about which ebooks to read. Sigh. It's like fanfiction all over again. I don't have a Meshuggah for my rage, either.
You're not committed to one extreme or the other, you know. You could have a mostly-Stargate setting, but also the military is comprised of teenage ninjas. You know. That sort of thing. That's what I would do.
Who are mind maps for then???
Is Babylon 5 on Netflix? I hadn't noticed. Is that what you're watching now?
Based on your description, I had assumed you were wandering around the outside world forlornly with ice balls in your hooves. Finding mushrooms, or somesuch. I don't know what you do.
By the way, my right-side wrinkle has finally come in, so I'm happily symmetrical again. Symmetwrinkle?

You might not have been old enough to understand the horror of the mold. There was a lot of mold.
Oooooh. What is finish?
Nah. I haven't officially deleted the terrible wild west vampire crap pile yet. I did find a Victorian-ish paranormal thing yesterday to replace it, and I can't tell yet whether it's good or trying too hard.
I need to be able to suspend my own disbelief, at least.
People who think with mind maps, rather than thinking other ways and painstakingly turning that into a mind map for an assignment.
No idea. I'm just saying that's what I would do, given the opportunity. They might be watching.
Walk to work. Work. Walk home. Fanfiction. Sleep. Repeat.
No. Go get botox now. Only left side.

Definitely don't remember mold. Only sweet, squelchy satisfaction.
Finish? It's a language, I think.
Most Victorian-ish things that I find are trying too hard. They're sometimes also enjoyable, though. I'm not sure why authors think that they have to replicate a Victorian writing style when such a thing does not come naturally to them.
You're talking to someone whose idea of a reasonable AU was, "Take the medieval fantasy setting, remove the magic but not the different sentient species, fast forward to a faux-1960s setting that somehow perfectly replicates the politics of Cold War America, and make it about classical music". I think ninja Stargate military sounds fine. You just need to be able to sell it. You could increase their ages so at least it's not about teenage ninjas. Then it's just an alternate Stargate universe where ninjas replace the military in US history. The Hokage is now General Hammond. It works. Now I kind of want to write it.
Then what are you watching now?
When do you party? I'm pretty sure party is one of the steps.

Nope. Mold. Definitely mold. It stank.
Noooo. Don't steal its second n.
The more I read, the harder it tries. I'm not sure I can't stand it.
You can't cross the streams. No mixing of casts. Can't have General Hammond. The aging up is the problem anyway! Keeping the ninjas doesn't fix that.
I'm watching nothing right now. At work. Would be inappropriate.
The party finds me. I don't control when.
Minicon! I just have to survive letting the lab read my grant proposal tomorrow.

But that's the only Finish I know! If not a language, then... oh, right. The glossy coating on hardwood floors. That's it.
Hmm, that's a bad trend. A lot of the pseudo-Victoriana I encounter tries less and less hard as the book goes on, and that's pretty readable. Not sure the other way 'round should be tolerated.
I meant more that the Naruto-verse Hokage (whomever you want that to be) would take the role of General Hammond. And oops. I had forgotten that the aging up was the problem to be fixed. Why is it a problem, exactly? The stupid sequel stuff makes them all adults anyway. Why do you need them to be teenagers?
Darn. Can't watch stuff during work time, can't watch stuff during fanfiction time. Guess you never get to watch anything.
I managed to read some fanfiction yesterday. I was hankering for a very particular plotline, but I couldn't figure out how to search for it. I wanted a situation where two characters who are enemies wind up in a survival situation and have to work together, and then romance ensues and stuff. Couldn't come up with any search terms. Wound up reading space opera Good Omens fic instead, which was nice, but not what I wanted.
Did you survive? Do you get to go to Minicon?

That sounds more likely. At least it's spelled right.
I'm still reading it because I haven't bothered to find anything better. It's not great.
Oh. Yes, that's the idea.
I don't need them to be teenagers. I just am having trouble imagining them as adults without all of the plot stuff having already occurred. And we do not mention the sequel stuff.
Nope. Dad and I watched Split and 2001: A Space Odyssey, though. I think I hate Stanley Kubrick.
You would probably want to search Enemies to Friends or Enemies to Lovers. Sounds pretty typical for those tags. Then you'd only need to sift through for specific scenarios involving survivorship.
Basically. It wasn't great, but I will cheat and go to Minicon anyway.

There is an almost infinite number of good books on the planet, and you waste your life with this. Okay. That's fair. Your choice.
You could decide that different plot stuff has occurred. Constantly refer to Noodle Incidents to make it clear that these improbably-colorful military folks have seen some crap. Everyone keeps looking at Sasuke weirdly because of the time during basic training that he ran off to be a Russian spy for a while.
I think hating Stanley Kubrick is valid. By all accounts, he was not a great dude, so he doesn't deserve your approval anyway. And you can get hipster points for thinking that his art is overrated.
Tried that tag search last night. It's a very crowded tag. I tried narrowing it down with words related to survival scenarios, but that mostly turned up the wrong crap. I may have to just dig through it. Sigh. I still wish AO3 had a search option for, "in any of these selected fandoms only". I'm tired of seeing Teen Wolf and Voltron.
You should get me a souvenir at Minicon. You know. Out of pity for the poor child who can't make it there.
Paul Simon was on campus here and I didn't get to see him.

It's what I read on the bus to band, when there aren't any Pokestops nearby.
The Russian spy noodle incident is sort of the idea for the story in the first place. What else would Orochimaru get up to as a Goa'uld but try to kidnap Sasuke and steal his body?
I liked A Clockwork Orange, but I spent most of The Shining wishing the crazy guy would just get on with it and murder his family already. All artistic merit is outweighed by his extreme smugness.
You can use the NOT function in the search bar. It might end up as a really long string, but you can weed out the most common undesirables. Alternatively, filter for fandoms you might want in the sidebar. One at a time.
Are you interested in a free bookmark? A tiny novel, perhaps? Maybe a Bozo Bus Tribune?
You have failed our family. Please leave. Go live in the woods, where you belong.

But... you could still read something else. The fact that it is a brief span of time does not detract from the fact that it is your time, that could be better spent.
Oh. True facts. Hadn't thought about that. You could still use previous Noodle Incidents to account for most of the other things that seem like they should have happened already. Maybe most of the characters improbably went to the same military academy at the same time. Or maybe in this universe the SGC has its own specialized training program.
Have you decided who else is going to be Goa'uld? Jaffa? Tok'ra? Inquiring minds want to know.
I think white dude directors are supposed to be smug. It's a whole thing. I think. You're supposed to smugly nod along with them, to bask in your shared smugness.
Oh, I hadn't thought of the NOT function. That could help. I like being taken by surprise by fandoms I had forgotten about, so I like that better than searching fandoms individually.
Perhaps a tiny novel. Since Dad will also be there, you could even consider getting me something that *gasp* costs money. I could pay you back, if it's such an issue.
Going to the woods now. Bye.
