I find it interesting they dubbed it too.

But I'll happily re-watch this, normally I don't like to re-watch things

Oh man, I am constantly rewatching stuff. All the time. I don't know why I like to rewatch things so much.

Of course I like new things too. But sometimes I just don't feel like paying that much attention so rewatch. lol.

It's interesting that they're dubbed though. I thought that they usually only did that with super popular stuff? Like anime and blockbusters. Idk though.
I think only some countries do that. In Japan for example it's common to even just have subtitles for some blockbuster movies. And in Poland, at least in my childhood, they would just talk over the original voice - basically as if they would read out the subtitles and you could still hear the original sound too.
But in Germany really everything gets dubbed. Germans don't seem to like to read subtitles.

Well I don't really watch them back to back to back. lol. I'll rewatch one show, then another, then mix it up with a new show. So on and so forth. lol.

Huh. That's interesting.
Yeah, people here don't like reading subtitles at allll.
I'm a little hard of hearing so I always use English subtitles when it's an option. I miss a ton of stuff with background noise especially. But people have legit whined like having subtitles hurt them.

No wonder the english dub was bad with the sound and movement of voices being out.. (didn't line up right)....

I don't mind subtitles. I prefer it.

Oh man. Some subtitles are completely awful.
I notice that a lot of times that they blank out sometimes. Like they won't have anything for a few seconds or longer. And that's super annoying because it usually seems to happen right when I can't hear what's going on. lol.

I also don't really have issues with subtitles on TV shows -we always prefer to watch the original language with subtitles. The German dubbing sometims drives me crazy. It's not even that the voice actors were bad, I don't think they are! It's more that the way they translated the text is often very weird, because of course they try to make it as synchronous to the lip movement as possible and that doesn't always work well.

For example, in English you would say "I saw a deer" and in German every sane person would say "Ich habe ein Reh gesehen". But because that is longer, they rather translate it to "Ich sah ein Reh", which is basically the 1:1 translation of the English sentence and fits better with the lip movement. And while it is a grammatically correct sentence, no one talks like this!!!
It sounds horribly courtly and a bit archaic. It could fit into a medivial setting maybe, but sounds so wrong to me in every other movie/show.
So the result is that in most TV shows and moves that were dubbed into German, everyone is just talking very weird and I can't stand it, so I prefer to watch the English original with subtitles. And don't even get me started on the whole You = Sie/Du thing. :mcomg:

I couldn't watch Dark on Netflix x.x the dubbing is awful. I really wanted to get into it but it was so hard. I leave subtitles on netflix all the time, even for English shows, it trains my eyes for when I go watch anime or other foreign flicks.
