I've seen/had a bag stolen from a friend in Brussels station, it can happen so fast, and some thieves really use distraction tactics and such! The least you can do is keep a close watch on your stuff :'/

Idk if it looks silly, I'll always double knot/secure my bags and if I have a bag hanging off my shoulder I'll keep my hand on it etc

Did you have a lot of photos and such on it? I always imagine that to be the worst thing should I ever lose my phone. I have so many pics and such on there that I don't have anywhere else... So if I lost my phone they'd be pretty much gone too.

I make back ups for my laptop all the time, but I forget to take the same effort with my phone. Once on vacation I lost my phone to find it the next morning and it had lain out in the rain all night on grass near the cottage we were staying in. All that time I was worried for the cute dog pics I had on my phone and to a lesser degree my contacts etc

We put it on the radiator to dry and it started up like nothing happened c':
And my doggy pics were safe! :D

Guess he was only after one thing, like a lot of guys ;'c
It's sad to have that happen though, so disappointing I imagine, especially if you have a bit of history with him and still have good memories of such.

I have never dropped or lost my phone since, I take good care of my baby cx
It was a total shock back then too, cause things like that just don't ever happen to me! It only happened cause my jacket was old and the pocket lining was torn, causing my phone to slide out of it as I exited the car. All this I obv found out after the whole ordeal haha

I still think it's better he said that openly. It's a bit ouch, but at least you don't lose more time for a guy like that ;)
