I'm not active on FB at all, I mainly use messenger. I never could bring myself to share stuff on the wall, or tag people or anything. Why would people care? :mcheh:
My biggest activity if I ever log in is liking stuff :mcargh: Or adding other reactions to people's posts. But I don't share things.
I would gladly get rid of my facebook but I need it for messenger, even if it's only for 2 or 3 people :mcblush:

I don't even like stuff on Facebook, because I know that if I like stuff, it will show up on the walls of people I am friends with and I don't really want to bother them with that. I once had to get rid off a friend from my wall who liked cat photos on Facebook all day. And while I love cats I know of plently places on the internet where I can look for cat photos if I want to, instead of Facebook, where I basically just want to take a quick look to see whether any of my friends have anything important or interesting to share.

I actually meant other people's posts, should've specified that :mcargh: I can't remember last time I liked anything, maybe a friend's photo, but that doesn't show on their wall, they have it in the messages I think.

Yes, but if you like other people's posts these posts might show up on the wall of other people who are connected to you, as long as the friend whos posts you liked didn't set ther setting so that this won't happen. I think it's a super annoying part of facebook. At least I used to get some random posts of people on my wall with the message "X liked this comment/photo/post". Maybe they have changed it by now, I don't know.

I barely use Facebook any more either. Although I do have two fake profiles 8D Never been caught haha. I basically interact with a few groups which I use for business promotion, and one which is good for the latest news in a particular niche I'm interested in. So I just wait for those notifications to pop up, interact with that post, and out.

But Instagram is another matter. I have an account for all four of my businesses, plus an account for the blog J and I do together :mcdead: I don't share personal stuff there, but I spend probably over an hour every day on updating them all.

Ah, yeah, I have an Instargram account too, but I am not enjoying it as much as I would like to. I like to browse through other accounts and look at pictures there, mostly pretty dog pictures, but I am not good at managing my own account. My biggest problem is that I really suck at writing on my phone. I just never grew up with mobile phones ( I think I had my first mobile phone at 24?), so I am not as used to it and can't write as fast as young people these days. So I always feel like it is taking so much time and effort that I do not enjoy it. I wish you could upload images to Instargram from your computer. So I mostly just post a photo without text, but if you don't have anything interesting to say you have no interaction and then your photos don't get shown anywhere in the recommendation lists and no one ever sees your photos. I think I have been stuck at the same follower count for probbaly half a year (not counting all the hundrets of people that follow me each week just to un-follow me the next day, because they are trying to get other people to follow them like this. Which is a super annoying practice and I wish Instagram would do something against this. For a while I even tried to block these people (because some would even do it repeatedly), but it is literally hundrets of people each week so that just took up way too much of my time and I gave up.

The unfortunate thing about Instagram is they put these rules into place and say "you can't get anyone to see your posts unless you follow these rules". But then you try to play by those rules and find a way to grow your account, which is one of the rules because you don't get seen if you don't have lots of followers, and then they say "that's cheating so you're banned".

I got shadowbanned for a while >.> so annoying. All I was doing was using the same hashtags on each post, because who has time to write out new hashtags each time? So I was just copying and pasting them. Then they stopped me from appearing in hashtag searches as a result. "use popular and successful hashtags, but don't use them ALL THE TIME, wow" as if that's so obvious for a normal person to figure out -___-

If you can't tell I am bitter on this topic >.>

Yeah, I know your pain with the hashtags! As said, I hate writing on my phone, so every hashtag I have to write down instead of copying it is a hassle to me. Also, I only show photos of my dogs on my account. So what other hashtags am I supposed to use other than the usual "dog, frenchie, french bulldog, bulldog" etc. hashtags? If there is the exact same thing to see in every of my photos, it only makes sense to use the exact same hashtags? How am I even supposed to come up with different hashtags for each photo?
Of course it is annoying if people copy and paste a bunch of popular hashtags that have nothing to do with the photo, but if the photos are of the same subject, what is wrong with copying the same hashtags?

Right, exactly! I'm always going to be posting the same things too. With my photography account it's always going to be either portraits or live fashion images, which are so similar you could mostly use the same hashtags for both. With my embroidery account it will always be embroidery. What's the point in forcing me to keep changing everything?
