Yeah, I thought the same thing. And it usually doesn't involve being a pesky person trying to sell anything, you're just obliged to offer something on sale or a regular customer card or whatever. Not too hard, right?
I hope we can both just relax these few days, Ash is pretty stressed as well.
May 1st is labour day and May 3rd is our Constitution Day :) So random and national

We had some strawberry cake this afternoon, since I was lazy and went into the city for shopping instead of being productive, so I brought home cake.
It was kinda justified though, since I got a call that some stuff I had ordered in a shop had arrived on thursday and I didn't know when I'd have the next chance to go and pick it up, so yeah. Still being lazy though :D

Being a cashier doesn't sound bad, as long as the customers are not too rude. Since you still have to be always nice and polite to them and stuff.

Having two holidays back to back like this sounds neat :) We only have the 1. of may off, but that's nice already :) We might be going to a craft market thingy, since one guy who had a stall on our christmas market gave me the hint that there is someone who has a stall there that might have the kind of thing I was looking for but he didn't have. (Huh, that somehow turned out sounding unnecessarily complicated. I was looking for a short cape to wear over my winter coat since it's getting kinda thin at the shoulders and I get cold. He had things in that direction but not quite what I was looking for, so he told me about the market in may where I might be more lucky. I thought that was really nice, but he said something like people doing these things need to stick together and recommend each other, it's only going to help everyone, which makes sense. I wouldn't have known about the market at all if not for him.)

I love strawberry season, I miss them so much the rest of the year.

Well, he was selling some hats and scarves and jackets and the like, so I'd assume they have some overlap, but still. He didn't have what I wanted, so it isn't really a loss to him, and this way I will likely visit that market - if everyone behaves like him that gets more visitors to the markets for all of them, so it does make a lot of sense. Otherwise I might have tried finding what I want in some normal stores (haha, sure thing, as if they had that...) or on the internet. Or I might end up sewing something myself after all, but I don't really want to, since I think it would be hard to find the kind of fabric I'd need, at least in person, and ordering it would be difficult because I wouldn't know what to look for without touching it and seeing if it feels right.

jacob, I am sorry to hear about the stress you went through with the train and the pain and stuff. I hope you feel better by now! And getting cake is a nice way to treat yourself :)

Everyone seems so keen on strawberry cake :D I feel like the only person in the world who doesn't like it.
But I am not that into fruity cakes anyway. I prefer chocolate or cream or the like. Oh or nuts/nougat.

mem, this sounds like a plan actually. As Chriz said, maybe work there for the time being, until you can find something more suitable. At least you will be occupied, you gain experience and money. Sounds good!

Yes, this guy is actually really cute. And what's even better: he is smart, mature and he is going to the gym. I love all those things. But on the other hand I do not know him yet, so I am eager to find out how he really is!
In fact, we are going to on a date on Monday after work. I am super excited already!!

Well, if you came from being scared of doing anything and went straight to overworking yourself, I guess you just overshot the ideal state somewhat and need to find the right balance. I'm sure you'll manage to, at some point.
