That's always smart! I like to make most if not all of my cosplays by hand too c:

I do need to save up for a better sewing machine though, but luckily I don't mind handsewing that much

making it yourself and going low budget also saves you money to spend on other things, like if you go to conventions you can actually spend more money there haha instead of pumping it all into your outfit c':

i didnt go to the con i go to this year because i had a really bad experience last year and i dunno if ill go next year... if i get this done though i need to show it off so i might :D

I've been to some more 'boring' cons but never really had a bad experience, it mostly depended on the people I go with, now I have my regular con buddies so I always have a good time ~

It's hella fun to show off an outfit you've been working on for so long though. I cosplay for fun and for myself and my friends but it does make me happy when people recognise the character and want to take a picture haha

One day I hope to have a professional photoshoot with just me and my bff and our cosplays. I'm actually still waiting on some -hopefully- cool shots taken at MCM London by some pros, they'll be published on the League site but obv with holiday season its taking a while c':

Sadly you don't realise who is fun to hangout at cons with unless you've tried going together ;/

I once went to a con with a friend that left me waiting at a pkmn card stand for over 30min. This was at closing time, and eventually we obviously didn't have time left to do anything else and had to go. It was also right after he promised me that 'yeah we'll go check out that one stand you wanted to see, just want to look at this one pkmn card here, 5min tops!'

So I never go to cons with that guy again, cause that kind of mad disrespect gets you off my con-buddy list :'D
