Lady River - we have a ton of different internet providers here. I think there's maybe 3-4 available near us. Not positive.

kylian - Why didn't you have internet for a while? If you don't mind me asking.

Death Candy - My husband is going to be working for our internet and cable provider. So we are going to get free services because of that.

Eva - yay for the stock up! Thanks! :qh: :qh:

@light i live in student hostels and my previous one had realllyyy shaky internet for a while. and then in the process of moving to another hostel i didn't have any internet.

but my current hostel has decent internet most of the time. it's useless for streaming/downloading or heavy bandwidth stuff like gaming, obviously. but good basic internet. i don't mind the commute much (my previous hostel was in the college campus so i didn't have to commute) because the internet and bathroom situation is better, plus i have a room to myself because my roommate didn't show up. all-round it's a big upgrade from my previous situation lol

I am so happy to hear that your first day went well, Eva!

How is living in a youth hostel, kylian?
I have been living in and out of hostels for the past several years, with the occasional month-long apartment lease here and there. But I have never met anyone else in my situation. ^^ How do you like it? If you do not mind me asking, are you doing this while you are in uni, or while you are on an extended travel, or is this just the most cost efficient way to get housing where you are? ^^

Time passes me
Like a man on the street
I can't help but notice a change
It's in the colors
Of these autumn leaves
But deep down my roots are the same

@fire i'm happy to find someone else who has lived in youth hostels :mccute:
it's because i'm studying at uni. it's possible i'll have to go to a working women's hostel after i finish my studies and start working. but i really don't want that. i hate sharing a bathroom with others :mcgloom: i share my bathroom with some of my family members at home but their bathroom habits are much better... so i'm going to try to get a job in my home city so that i can commute to work from home. :mchappy:
how has your experience with hostels been?
