Yep! I was reading a book set in Seattle a while ago, and I only went there for 2 days and then spent another day driving along one of the mountain roads that is also described in the book. And I was practically bouncing up and down while I was reading it XD

If a younger person asked me for a book recommendation, depending on their reading level, I would recommend things like Howl's Moving Castle, Pride and Prejudice, Rebecca, The Phantom Tollbooth, A Little Princess, Anne of Green Gables, The Mysterious Howling (The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place #1), Fabelhaven, anything by Roald Dahl, and The Last Apprentice series.
Briefly going back further because someone else loves The Phantom Tollbooth! Such a good book! I read that so very often when I was younger, have to go find it again and read it again because it's been too long.

Okay back to funny things about going to places you read about. :qc:

Hi there!

I just remembered that I read a book and its plot takes place in Italy/Rome.. As I've been there recently, maybe I should read it again?

Oooh, you got to visit Rome? I've never been, how was it?
(I loved reading about Rome in Street of the Five Moons, by Elizabeth Peters. It made me want to go there)

If you liked the book the first time, it would certainly be a good excuse to read it again! What was it? Would you recommend it?

Kinda jumping in, but I've been to Rome a few times and I loved it :mccute: It's very tourist-centric though so you will get approx 10000000 people trying to sell you stuff on the street, especially in the evening
XD

Just remembered it wasn't Rome, but Siena xD Still, it was a very nice book :) I read it in German, it's called "Julia" (my name, lol) and was written by Anne Fortier.
Indeed, so many people were trying to sell you stuff. It's the worst on the beach though xD

ha ha, I have been to places like that. >.<
Now see, in a book, a seller of random stuff would be a spy or an important witness or something like that.
I wonder how many of the Roman sellers also gather information to sell? :qlol:
