My cat dissappeared a month ago, and has been seen since. My parents are devastated. She was a lost kitty and had been roaming around the neighborhood for about 1 week before she decided to follow my dad home. She was really scared of people but managed to warm up to my parents. She was small so the vet told my parents to wait a bit before sterilizing her. She got pregnant in the meantime and gave birth to two very cuuute kitties. Wakanda did not leave their side for even a second. When I went home to see my parents, she got very close to me, and whenever she wanted to go out, she would first bring the kitties on my bed and then leave. She'd never go too far and whenever she'd hear the kitties (Stitchie and Lucky) cry she'd come in a jiffy.

My parents found two loving families for the kitties, although dad was very sad to let Stitchie go. Now that Wakanda dissappeared, he asks mom to go get Stitch back hahaha.

Never had dogs, but I can understand that you obviously can tell apart your babies.

Oh, how sad that she is missing! I hope with the weather turning colder she has found a new home or will find her way back.

We think that she either was kidnapped by someone, so in that case she definitely has a house on her head. The only thing I dread, is that since I come from a place where animals are treated like criminal animals, I am afraid someone ran her over.

Oh, surely not! She sounds so sweet and darling, surely someone simply took her home, thinking she was a stray.

You know, I had a dog stolen out of my yard when I was a kid.
I thought he was an adult, but my dad said he was a puppy.
Someone just took him. Out of our backyard.
What type of horrible person just steals someone else's pets o_O

I remember having a cat that disappeared.
I just assumed he was never coming back, so I got a new cat.
That same day, my cat came home.
He had walked back home to us.
His paws were so raw and bloody and he was weak.
He loved us so much that he made his way back home.
I've heard of dogs doing that, but never cats.

I tell you that story because I hope your cat comes back to you.
Cats are known to be kind of meh towards humans, but if they love you, they love you.

A world of fragile things
Look for me in the white forest
Hiding in a hollow tree (come find me)
I know you hear me,
I can taste it in your tears."

I have always had cats. When I was 7 we changed our place. Our cat Mattis was so desperate that actually found our new place, not that it was too far. We left him with my grandma because we had no place in the new small flat for him.
He passed not long after because he was sad he could not cuddle with us all the time.

The other one we had at the same time with him, Scaredy, was stolen but he still managed to come back to us 2 months later.

Where I come from it is common to steal animals, especially if they are cute, well kept and trained. Our Wakanda was white with green almond-shaped eyes. She was really beautiful, and most of all she was trained to poop and pee in the right place. We believe someone took her and sold her for good money. I refuse to believe she died being run over. :qsob: :qsob:

Wow, Moi, that's true devotion! I'm so amazed your cat was able to find you again. You must have had a really strong bond!

Poor Mattis! At least Scaredy came back. It's funny that people steal animals where you are from. That's really not a problem here at all. We have more trouble, there have been a number of domesticated rabbits that were abandoned, and we find them wandering around in our neighborhood but can't catch them very well, and then of course they get eaten. We can't figure out where they are coming from and who is doing it! I wish we had people who would come steal them. At least then they would have a home. But we can tell they are being eaten; you can see the remains.

It's horrible that people steal pets.
I've heard of people stealing pit bulls and selling them.
I wouldn't doubt they'd do it to other dogs.

I'd get an electric fence that also had piranhas and bees.
But I also think it's legal to just shoot someone trespassing here 8u

My great grandma died and my great aunt took her little chihuahua.
It died not long after her, so we think she died of heartbreak.

It's really amazing and kind of sad that animals and humans get so close that one dies without the other.

Akili Li: He was a good cat. He eventually died of old age. I'm glad he liked us enough to come back. Interestingly enough, I found him when we first moved to our house. I had no pets and wished on a star for a cat. Then he come along. And he had a white diamond on his forehead u8

Have you read Tamora Pierce's books at all? That reminds me of Pounce, who came from a star

Oh wow, rabbits? Poor flyffy things... they always look so defensless.

It is amazing how dogs can bond with their owners. Reminds me of the movie Hachiko, which btw, I refuse to watch because I know it is going to make me cry buckets. Hell, just the trailer made me cry buckets.
