Why do attics hold so much STUFF?! And why did we keep payment stubs for utilities on houses that were sold back in the 1930's? We do not need to be hauling around this much paper, I know exactly how many moves that stuff made it through and it is ridiculous....

Aaargh, I don't think I could face it if I had to go through all of these and check every single one with someone before it could be cleared....
okay who would know? Is there a list somewhere of things that are worth hanging on to? Because right now I have about... hang on, let me count.
Okay so that's 8 laundry baskets full of papers slated for recycling (because recycle container is full, and already filled the neighbors' who let me), plus two large cardboard boxes worth, and I still have about 8 tall filing cabinets to go through.
(Seriously, how did they move this much paper back when they were on a student's budget? Oh.... I bet some of it showed up later after great-great aunt B. died and then great-uncle F and great-uncle C. This has to be more than just their own personal accumulations.)
