I can't really force the writing to come like some people seemingly can. I can't really tell myself 'ok time to write now, go' and ahve it come out haha

I'd still like to write and haven't gotten like, a dislike of it. I just stopped finding the time, changed fandoms from DBZ back in the day and now I think I just wouldn't know what to write about. Nothing concrete comes to mind and I enjoy reading other's fanfics more, that's just how it goes :P

Yeah, I can't really do that either. I don't know how people do it... Must be even worse when you're a professional writer who needs to do it because it's their job. Hats off to all those people.

I mostly write the odd poem here or there when I come upon some inspiration (or an art contest ;) ) and a little bit of roleplaying. But I'm not good at consistently writing those either, I sometimes just don't get around to it or don't have the inspiration and then they can sleep a few weeks... Always makes me feel bad.
I used to also write non-fanfic stories of my own, but I haven't done that in ages. I mostly never finished those and just started new ones all the time though, except for the ones that I wrote together with friends. Those were fun times, back in school, you could just sit next to each other during a boring class and write together...

ooh yeah that's a fun thing to look back on, I had a journal I always took with me to school too. To draw or write during free time (or study time haha)

I think I must have a lot of our talking sheets still lying around somewhere, too... Sometimes I find one when I'm looking through things in my room back at my mom's place.

People with proper update schedules for their fics are to be feared.
I could only do such a thing if I already have the whole fic pre-written.
Which never happens because I start something and then never finish it.
Which is why I'm better with RP's lately.
Cos it's not just my brain contributing to the story. lol

Yeah, the only way I could see myself having an update schedule is if it really was just the uploading and not the writing happening according to schedule because everything was already finished or at least I'd be so far ahead that there's always enough material to upload.
And I like the more interactive nature of RPs as well. Maybe that is why I managed to finish things I wrote with friends but nothing I wrote alone. There's multiple brains contributing and whenever one is uninspired, somebody else can write something that spikes inspiration again.

Yeah, otherwise my brain says "hey, instead of writing this how about... we don't?"
And how can I argue with that?

It does depend on who you rp with too, I've had rp partners that wrote their parts in literally just the opposite pov of things I'd described. Nothing new, no further story progression. All of the plot was left to me c':

I think of the say 10 rps I've ever done only 3 I managed to finish :'c

I would not be able to RP with someone like that.
Like if you don't help progress the story, we're not continuing.
Or people who play two characters, and they don't interact with anyone else except themselves...
Drives me NUTS.

I also can't stand people that make their characters great at everything, plain Mary-Sue's and Gary Stu's and the like c':

I tried an x-men rp once and I thought we should put a sort of limit or condition on our character's powers. They basically made their character the freaking avatar. I'm talking control of all elements xD

And when I insisted on a 'weakness' cause like the plot was a survival in apocalyptic world kind of thing and how the fuck is it challenging for their character if they're so overpowered?? They basically went like 'ok then like say he's really emotional and forgiving and never really wants to hurt the enemies they encounter and like only does it when he has no other choice'
