You can absorb things that you touch, and have them meld into you, and then later retrieve them as needed. It works on things that are not strictly corporeal, but it does not work so well.... so you can attempt to absorb a winter storm, but so long as you carry it you will be uncomfortably cold, until you discharge it once more.

You can walk (or run, or dance, or do acrobatics) across water, or other natural bodies of liquid. It won't work on a swimming pool but will work on a lake, swamp, bog, or saltwater marsh, etc.
