Oh man. This is reminding me that I should probably water my ivy plant before it dies for real. It looks saaaad. I should probably get some coffee grounds from work to perk it up.
I wish I could grow herbs and things but I really can't take care of living things that don't vocally demand food and water.

About trying mint? That thing doesn't die easily and you'd have an endless supply. It's also easy to dry to make herb tea and you'd easily have enough to give to anyone who'd need it.
I've been wanting to set up an ivy but it would require maintenance and I have only a small veranda.
I'd love to grow some vegetables outside as well but since I'm right in front of an highway it's a big nope.

I have heard that mint is pretty hard to kill. And lately my cat hasn't been on the table nibbling plants so it might work out. I keep my ivy twined with blinds because that's the only way it can get any light inside the apartment, but I guess I could set some stuff up on the balcony.

I'm not sure your cat would appreciate the taste. I don't think mine ever nibbled on the mint we had in the garden back at my parents' place.
I'd love an ivy on the balcony, it would make for some easy green.
I don't have things that grow too big inside. I don't think I have enough light either.
I'd love for a monstera though. I already know where I'd like to put it but I'm pretty sure the husband would tell me to stop it with the plants XD

ha ha, the last time I saw someone so emphatic about a plant, they were talking about bamboo that had crossed a twenty-foot asphalt barrier. (Apparently the neighbors put some in and they moved where their driveway was just to try and keep it out of their yard.... and it didn't work)

Talking about plants that don't die, morning glories are some of those as well.
Ivy had been killing me as well.
If only what I'd planted in my pots would go as well XD

We have wild mint here. It grows out in the field. Mom and dad didn't like me having some in a pot on our porch last year. I like to put it in my tea. But I was careful. picked all the flowers off every day before the bloomed so it wouldn't seed. At the end of the year, I dumped it back in the field. XD

I saw a YouTube ranting about mint. Even though it was in pots, it still tried to jump into the yard and become the new grass. Mint is great and all, but I don't think I'd like a whole yard of it! Ya know, if I had a yard and all that.
