MoodyBats: They are hard. I have a few OCs that wear them and drawing then shading them drives me nuts 8u

It'd probably help if I kept putting out art.
It takes me so long to finish things.

It doesn't hurt to try, though u8


Limikkin: I usually do free art for friends, but I have some that like to pay me, which is great. So I don't want to ask for too much, but then it's like "What do you want for the art 8u" "I don't know..." and just long awkward silence.

I haven't tried to color it yet.
I've been in an awkward phase with my art where everything
just comes out bad. :mcsweat:

I also take so long to finish things.
I think the only thing i am good at finishing things is freebies.
But it also depends how motivated I am too.

True but I just don't know if i'll be able to keep up
with orders which is why i am sort of debating
to start one.

Hi guys, I haven't had commissions and I only just started trying to draw again, that's why I haven't been around. I had to stop looking at art for some time. When I think about drawing it seems so difficult and I am never satisfied with the result, even though/because I'm not sure how I want things to look. I'm too indecisive about what style I want to use, what I should draw, and how, and everything takes so long.
*sigh*
I also have to apologize for Limikkin for only seeing your sweet comments on my dArt now :( Thank you so much, I really appreciate you taking the time to comment!

I got addicted to playing otome games, on my phone and pc. I felt like drawing some of the characters but it wasn't enough to make me draw.
Then I started watching anime, and got obsessed with C.C.xL.L from Code Geass lol :mcsweat:
After finding an AMAZING japanese artist named Creayus who draws these things, I finally felt like trying to draw again.
So here's C.C. in... "my" style I guess?
It's a sketch, and the colors suck so bad, but meh
Posted some other sketches on my twitter in case anyone is curious enough, or if anyone uses twitter, let me know yours. I'm using C.C. and Lelouch for my stupid attempts at art (in casual wear since I'm lazy). Just trying things now.

I didn't mean to rant in here, but I'm just so bored with my art, Idk it's like realistic anatomy helped me so much but also made me lose some of the fun and expressiveness I had? Or I've been watching too much anime. Or just lost my touch. I mean I never thought I'd ever like CLAMP art style again because of their weird proportions, long arms and legs etc, and even bishounens in general from otome games lol, after I learned better anatomy, but here I am, inspired by anime. What do I want my art to look like? Ugh I'm sorry for the wall of text, I'm confused :qcry:

I think I lack stamina. There's so much I want to do and I mentally feel up to it, but I tire out quickly xD

I've never really gotten into that series.
I know my bestie loved it.
I love CLAMP and the art they make, but Magic Knight Rayearth and X/1999 are my favorite style-wise.
I don't really mind the out of proportion thing as I...just really love their work xD;
I think your art is really good...I'm sorry you're not happy with it right now ;;

that looks so good!
I can't color for jack.
Only one time I colored something good and it was a lip study lol.

Stamina is very hard to keep up with art.
So i can relate. I use all of my stamina during one piece
and studies so I get tired out quickly.
And I also suffer from depression which really zaps my energy too. :mcdead:

Clothes have always been hard for me to shade.
I don't know why because they look simple and yet I have a hard time .__.

I too have depression and an anxiety disorder, so I understand that.
I actually have to talk to a psychologist for a few minutes every time I see the doctor, and I told her that I sometimes don't even want to make art.
She told me I should make art anyways because it's something I love and it's not good to lose interest in things when I'm depressed.
