Trying not to die in the last throes of summer. It's hotter than the Devil's ass here in Georgia and insanely humid. It could be worse I suppose...Was doing good before they cut down the trees on the side of my house...

That's rough, bro.

I've spent most of the super indoors. And the one day that I did go out happened to be the coolest day of the summer. Thankfully. Otherwise I woulda dieeed.

I've had to cancel plans a few times recently because it was too hot to go out. It's a ten minute walk to our train station so by the time I get there I have a good enough idea of whether it's worth actually getting on the train haha. If I already feel dead from heat, I turn around and go back home.

It's been decently nice out in central Illinois the past few days. I had all my windows open for two days and the air conditioner off. It was wonderful. Even went for a walk yesterday. I left my older dog at home because I really need to work on my puppy and her pulling problem (she doesn't listen to me when we walk and she will walk on her hind legs because of how bad she pulls) and I could hear him complaining for quite a while...sorry neighbors. It's supposed to rain today though.

That sucks. Well, at least you get your exercise on the walk to and from the bus station?

My plans are almost always indoors. lol. But some people do not have good air conditioning. I have to bring a fan with me or I'll melt. I hate being so sensitive to heat. It's awful.

Maybe it was so nice because the rain was coming in?
I know that sometimes it gets cooler here when it's going to rain. Though other times it's completely opposite and just feels hotter because of the humidity. lol.

Aw! Puppies! I love animals. How long have you had them?

A bit of a walk is always good, true XD

We don't have air conditioning so we just have our balcony doors open all day, and the most powerful fans we could afford at night. It's kind of annoying the way we build houses here, which is mostly for mild/cold weather. Even though we frequently have bad flooding or heatwaves. You'd think people would start building with those possibilities in mind and include things like air conditioning or better heat management through the layout/materials, but nope.

I don't think I could live with an air conditioner in the summer. It gets so humid where I live. Even with it going and running, I still get hot at night. I had to cut back because it was starting to cost too much running it all the time.

I have had my older dog for two years and the puppy for 8 months, but I grew up with dogs so I'm used to them. My husky was a puller when we had him. I would say he would take me for a drag because he was always pulling me along (I was 8 when we got him and he lived to be 15)

Good for the mind and body!

Where are you from?

Yeah, everywhere should start doing that since climate change is getting so intense.

I HAVE to have AC. If I didn't I would very literally die. I start having issues around 72f (22.2c).

You should get a dehumidifier then. I hear that they work wonders.
Apparently a lot of AC in Japan have them in addition to being ACs.

Aw. That's sweet. lol. I can imagine. Huskies are such big dogs. Should have gotten on a skateboard. I bet that would have been terrifying. lol.

Do you train them yourself?
I have a friend that has two dogs and they are the most ill behaved dogs that I've ever met. Which is worse because they're pretty big dogs. Every time I go to their house I come home with at least a couple of scratches from being jumped on.

I'm a natural hot person. I am always hot when everyone else is cold.

I need to get one for my basement still because it helps prevent mold? I think? I just know dehumidifiers are always in basements.

I think my older sister tried that. I don't remember. I remember trying to roller skate with him. It did not end well.

Yeah I do. She's still in the process of learning on not jumping on people. And she doesn't understand the difference between lay down and roll over. It's a work in progress. I don't mind dogs jumping on me though and I always have scratches from my dogs regardless because they somehow always end up scratching me regardless.

Yes, a dehumidifier would help with the mold in the basement. Also if you have allergies it helps with that as well I've heard.

I couldn't survive without my fans. As it is, i think I might have to buy a new one soon, as the 2 that I have aren't cutting it anymore. It would probably be better if I had a ceiling fan...I initially didn't want one as I always have this fear that it's going to detach from the ceiling and take me out. Now that the trees are gone, I wish I had one as it would circulate the air in my room better. Maybe when I move into my new potential apartment in November I can get one.
