Well all we do is just a family dinner, that's all. It's hard to get everyone together sometimes. So we just do it whenever everyone is free. And we don't do the entire dinner thing, like we don't get like turkey and ham and like several different pies and whatnot. We try to keep it simple.

Uh.....small? Originally, my sister thought it would be amusing to order some lotus seeds online. My mom tried to make them sprout by just putting them in water but the problem with that is that lotus seeds have a hard outer shell so if you don't drill it or create a crack in the outer shell, the water won't be able to get inside. After several weeks/maybe a month or more of the seeds my mom was trying to sprout not doing anything, I took the remaining seeds and smashed a hammer on them as carefully as possible. The few that I was able to crack open (and a lot of them just smashed because its HARD to slightly crack open a little seed with a hammer lol), I just threw them in some warm water and left it, although I periodically changed the water. As my luck would have it, two of them actually SPROUTED and started growing leaves and stuff. Since I didn't have the heart to just dump them after all that work, I did even MORE work, bought a cheap planter pot and special aquatic soil, planted the two seeds and filled the pot with water. Now, I have a few MORE leaves and its still growing. It's not a LOT of leaves, since I only got two of them to sprout, but its still interesting to see those little lotus leaves floating on the water lol. And the fact that I did this all by myself, without anyone assisting me or helping me change water and cleaning and stuff, I suppose I'm a bit proud. XD;;

Congrats on your...vine? XD

OAO that sounds awesome. grats on getting them to sprout!

thankies ovo I've never raised and propagated a cutting before.. (new to plants in general, only cared for aloe up until now) Maybe next year when I get more stuff for gardening, i'll try to propagate a pointsettia cutting >:D

Aloe Vera grows new plants (pups) from their root balls

apparently Hydrengea, they propagate while still on the main plant, you have a branch laying on the soil, and near the little plant nub at the end, it should grow roots oAO -been researching-

this vine.. not sure what it is exactly.. i think its what people calls a Devi'ls Ivy (suiting name for me >:D) aka a Pothos Vine ... i THINK o3o it seems to match all the images that I found online it's supposedly the easiest plant to start with o3o ima have my apartment covered in Vines >:D piss off the landlady even more >w> haha

I guess? But it’s too much work on my own lol. And since my mom refuses to help, my sister not caring either way since she originally bought them for fun and my dad having nothing to do with gardening, it’s all me and my hard work lol.

My mom’s planted from just cuttings before. I’ve seen it and it’s amazing and kinda cool. But having something sprout from just a seed, there’s a sense of accomplishment lol.

We did seedlings in 2nd grade, and mom use to plant seeds.. we had sunflowers at our one apartment once =w= no jerk kids to kill them off...

I never did cuttings before OWO still not sure if it's a root growing or not tho xD its like.. growing at the bottom near where it was cut, and i think one is growing under the leaf too >w>, dunno if that was suppose to happen xD If they are roots, i was expecting it to take a few months as winter is coming on >w>

I might've done something like planting a bean seed when I was in kindergarten or one of those earlier grades. But I've never really done much in the way of planting stuff ever since. This lotus project might be a first since all those years ago lol.

My mom was able to grow certain herbs with just a stem of the original herb. She put them in water and waited from them to start rooting.

Doing the dishes tomorrow? We always do the dishes right after eating though...xD;; I couldn't possibly stand it if I saw dishes in the sink. I'd be compelled to wash them lol.

I can't stand doing dishes... i can't stand the feel of the water .. they're suppose to be mom's chore.. as she can barely do anything else around here any more.. =A= but she always let stuff soak for a while... then forget about them... then they pile up... then she bitches =w=

but yea, I dunno why, but once they've been eaten off of, I don't want to touch them. i can't stand touching them.. especially if their mom's dishes with her gross foods that i can't stand being on them... xp I've tried wearing gloves, many different types... didn't work... most made my hands smell bad. others didn't last 3 minutes under the hot water.

I want a dish washer D:<

My mom believes that dishwashers would waste too much water. And dishwashers aren't always great, they might still leave stuff stuck on your dishes.

Personally, I don't mind all too much about washing dishes. In the winter, I can use hot water and stay warm while washing the dishes. In the summer, I can cool down using cold water to wash the dishes. In both cases, I'm also washing my hands. If there's a LOT of dishes, I do get a bit annoyed because if the dishes pile up, I get grumpy because there's so much more to do. But if its only a little, I don't mind.

And I have so many creams at home so I always moisturize my hands after washing the dishes...or washing my hands...or, if my hands EVER get wet even once, I put cream on. I have cream littered everywhereeeeee~

WOOOOOOH I finally finished translating another chapter, ahahahah~ third chapter, here I come!

The people I know that own dishwashers, they said they actually save water.. o3o as when your washing dishes the water is running constantly. The dishwasher uses a certain amount of water and keeps at that amount.

as for leaving stuff on, its why they get rinsed off first.. o3o you don't just shove them in the washer right after eating.

Besides, apartment pays water bill!!! >:D

I need to be careful of what lotions and creams i use.. apparently I'm allergic to quite a few. =A= one taxi lady is a lot like me in that sense and gave me one of her creams owo minty smelling <3

oAo Chapters!! ^(owo)^
