Ooooh 8U
It's...I think it's still technically fall here, but we don't know what fall weather is 8u

I have this really annoying itch on my finger.
It's right on my cuticle and really unpleasant to scratch >8u

@Moi yup, it gets locked all the time! And it's really sore constantly when I'm chewing or etc. It feels like the joint will pop out of place.
In the end he gave me some exercises to do and also filled down some of my teeth. He said that my bite wasn't quite even and so it was putting more pressure on one side. Now I have to work on getting down the inflammation (supposedly). We'll see if it works. If it doesn't after two weeks, I then have to waste another month before I get to see my doctor about it.
In the meantime, this appointment which was quoted at £28 on their website ended up costing £44 because he added on stuff without warning me of the extra cost >:|
I don't know how they can be allowed to do this kind of thing. With the Tory government in charge the NHS is basically collapsing. We might be selling it to Trump soon if they get reelected, so here's hoping the nation has enough sense to vote against that.

Lady River: Technically winter is the 21st of December and it's December 8th now.
It's going to be summery tomorrow and then cool again.

I started wearing these gel pads on my finger and I think it's causing my finger to itch so I need to take it off more. I kinda just forget it's on and wear it all day xD;

jacobgrey: Yeah, I know what you're going through. When I was a little kid, I woke up one morning and my jaw was stuck. Literally stuck. I couldn't close it and it hurt so bad I cried and skipped school. I actually don't get it much anymore, but I've lost some teeth which may have helped a little. It used to crack and pop constantly and I just thought it was normal xD;
I hope you can get it taken care of ;;

Yeah, I wouldn't think they could do that. That seems deceptive. But I also thought price gouging was illegal and it's not in a lot of places.
I hope it works out for y'all. I don't like Trump xD;

@Moi same, I get it stuck sometimes. Once it was stuck for a week and I couldn't really eat or brush my teeth very well. Or talk for that matter. To be honest I will be kind of pissed if it turns out that all I needed to do was file a couple of teeth down, because I've been to multiple doctors and dentists since it started happening :mcheh: Like can it really be something so stupid and simple that this one dude spotted it within 3 minutes? Anyway, on the other hand I will of course be happy to get rid of it.

Deceptive pricing, gouging, all of it... just, yep. And even if you break the rules no one seems to care. I got ripped off ages ago, nearly 10 years ago, I spent about £250 on some advertising for my new business that I couldn't really afford. I had to borrow the money from my dad. Turns out the people were scammers and the advert didn't go out properly, and I didn't get the coverage I was promised (to make a long story short). I reported it to the police fraud department and they confirmed after about a year that I was defrauded, but they never got hold of the people in order to take legal action and so I never got any resolution or my money back.

Lady River: It's usually like that here - dry and stuff catches on fire.
We have this field across the street and a transformer blew and lit the field on fire.
Luckily, we have a fire department like 5 minutes away.
It freaked me out, though. Fire spreads so fast.

jacobgrey: I wish you the best of luck with it. I hope there's a simple fix 8,u
That sounds about accurate xD
I don't think there's much hope in those situations.
I know my mom sent her car in to get fixed and the place didn't fix it, but charged us.
We had to take the car back because it had the same exact problem and they charged us to fix it again.
To me - that's a rip off. They didn't fix it the first time, why did they get payed? Why did they get payed again to do what they were supposed to do the first time >__>

Ughhhh this reminds me of a situation that really annoyed me a few years ago. J had this car which was actually a really good car. It was a hybrid so we paid lower tax and lower fuel, and it was super efficient for getting around. It was also really spacious. At one point there was an issue with it and he took it to this garage which is basically just some guy on the corner that his dad always used - not an official registered garage for the manufacturer or anything.
J took the car to them once and they "fixed" it. Next thing we know the car is worse off and breaks down completely so he took it back again.
This garage reckons that the part which is damaged would cost more than the car is worth to replace. J comes home with this news and I was like woah, hang on. Go and get a second opinion with the REAL garage who is an expert on that car. They might be able to get it cheaper because they have links with the manufacturer. Also it's more than possible these guys are just SAYING it's this broken part in order to cover their asses because they're actually the ones that broke something in the first place.
J saw my point and was about to go and retrieve the car and get the official guys to move it to their place instead. He had to call his dad, because his dad paid for the car originally (with J paying him back over time) and therefore his dad's name was the one on the paperwork.
Come to find out, this dodgy garage had convinced J's dad to just scrap the car. And they had done that.
- some of J's stuff was still inside
- they never got an actual official diagnosis of what was wrong with the car from the real garage
- these idiots were probably the ones that broke it in the first place, and with the evidence of the car available, we would have been able to prove that and sue them or at least demand money back
- they paid J's dad £500 for the scrap value... looked it up online and this car was worth at least £2k even as scrap

and the worst part
- we saw the goddamn car driving around about 6 months later. looks like the garage fixed up their mistake and resold it. we never saw it again though so couldn't prove this had happened.

That was the day I finally convinced J to just stop blindly doing whatever his parents told him, because for all that his dad is smart (he's a physicist with a phd), he can also be very dumb about practical real world stuff.

Oh, wow I'd be hella pissed off >XD
Like go up there and cuss every one of them out pissed off.
I'm extremely non-confrontational so it's so unlikely for me to do that.
But that's a serious load of bullshit >_>

Yeah, I'd always get a second opinion. Maybe a third and fourth one too.
I find it hard to trust people for the exact reason with what happened to your vehicle.

My grandpa was a mechanic and worked on things like coffee makers and vending machines for a living - but he could fix vehicles too.
I wish I would have asked him to show me things before he died.

It's funny, isn't it? How people can be so intelligent and so gullible. My dad's ex was extremely intelligent, but she couldn't understand the simplest jokes.
My bestie in school was a prodigy - extremely intelligent, good at everything, friendly and sweet but she'd say the dumbest things sometimes xD
