Sounds very tough, though. But I'm sure you are on to something. Did I ever tell you I actually learned English through Pokémon? So yeah, I'm rather sure language has a very important correlation to the immersion of a video game. Apparently it was important enough for me to learn a whole new language for :mctongue:

that's amazing, Merrymaking :mcshock: LittleJulez might be able to harvest some content for her thesis from your experiences. talking to gamers about their experiences with languages, including foreign ones, in games might be helpful.

And I'm even talking about multiple holidays, +/- 1000 pictures a day. Picking the best ones is the hardest part. Currently working on a 3 week trip in Asia and a 1 week trip in Greece. Alternating between them helps a little... :mccry:

Edit: While I'm at it anyway Julie, I might wanna make one of our trip to Salzburg as well. Do you still happen to have those photos anywhere? If so, could you WeTransfer them to me? :mcglee:

I am about as bad with my picture takings while on a trip. A short trip can easily lead up to hundreds if not thousands of pictures.
Digital camera's just make it way too easy. :}

Holy moly, yes I do have the pictures, of course!

How does WeTransfer work? Do I have to register? I only have dropbox which only has a limited amount of data space. But I would love to see the pictures you took of Salzburg as well!

I love taking pictures, but I am usually annoyed by organising them, I really need to be in the mood for that.

That's indeed super cool that you learned English via playing Pokémon. Funny enough, one of my fellow students wrote a paper about the phonetics of the translation of Pokémon names (so Japanese and English I think). So cool!

No registration needed! You just fill out your e-mail and the one you want to send it to, type in an optional message, upload the folder (you don't even have to compress it anymore; only catch is that you can only send 2 GB per transfer) and away with it. Then the receiver gets a download link. All free and easy. I'll send you my pics like that!

Edit: Oh hang on, I don't think I have your e-mail address...

Haha that's an interesting topic indeed. Sometimes I wonder where they were going with names like Farfetch'd :mclaugh:
It also took me ages to figure out Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres...
