I'll be home. On Christmas Eve I'm at my grandma's and then at Ash's step-dad's... Yep, one day, two dinners, I'm going to burst XD On Christmas we're going to my dad's. And then Second day of Crhistmas is our 9th anniversary soooo Idk what yet xD We'll probably stay home or try to catch a movie or something.
That quiz sounds like a great family tradition!

rat update: I think we had a tiny breakthrough last night! First, I cleaned the new cage. Second, they were all stinky, so we bathed them (all 3 together, other than Cotton crying all the time more than the youngsters, there was no drama there). Then we decided to see how Cotton would react if we now put them in the new cage together with all the smells being less agressive (I put all of her stuff there, too, but she still didn't like it, so we let her out). We left them in their respective cages and went for dinner to Ash's step dad. When we came back, I took the young ones into my pouch-pocket and we let Cotton into their cage alone. At first she was pretty calm, then she went crazy, and THEN she lied in 3 of 4 corners of the cage. It wasn't a completely relaxed thing, I could tell, but she calmed down a bit, so I think it's a good sign. Then we took her out and she really wanted to get on me and I let her (reluctantly, but hey, worst case scenario, they fight on me and I'm literally right there to separate them). She went into the pouch with them inside, almost immediately went out. then one of them walked out behind her and Cotton kind of hopped over her. It looked like she wants to mark the little one, you know, with urine droplets, like rats do. I'm not sure if she did, but it seemed that was what she was doing. And she also "liced" that youngster's face for a short while. She wasn't agressive at all.
I'm thinking of repeating this thing every day or at least every other day. Maybe in a week or two they'll be able to coexist :D

Yeah, it's not really convenient... But stepdad and younger sister is all Ash has left of his family, so I can't exactly tell him to visit them another day, Christmas Eve is super important in Poland, the remaining two days are meh xD For the same reason my grandma hella wants us to always be there on that day so I'm like... ugh, gimme a break.
Honestly I would stop celebrating Christmas altogether if I could because it's not actually in my belief system... But I would get a "heretic" label yet again and I'm just tired of hearing that too. Lately I've been more open about my beliefs with grandma and she doesn't get it. She does on some level but I gotta tiptoe around certain topics so she wouldn't tell me I'm possessed or something. Last time I told her I don't need to get a christian wedding (she was whining about no ring again) because I don't believe in Jesus as my god and she basically said I'm mentally ill I had to rescue myself with "yes, I do feel divine presence around me at all times and I care deeply about my own personal relationship with the God". She kind of believes in some ezoteric things (as do I) and I'm pretty sure she has no idea XD

I totally agree with jacob, I regard Christmas the same way that you do :)

We are spending Christmas at my parents' home, having dinner and presents tonight. Tomorrow, I am going to see the new Star Wars movie with my brother. The next day we are going to visit my other brother and his family and on the 27th we gotta help my cousin to move. So busy days ahead. If everything goes well I will be back home on the 27th, or morning of the 28th, the latest :3

Then maybe my family makes everything about religion reading the bible before Christmas eve dinner etc XD I recently told grandma that historically speaking our Christmas traditions come from our pagan ones and she was like "that's false history" XD
And I'm crappy at giving presents and I can never tell what I would want to get so for me it's all useless crap that makes me feel anxious and more tired than relaxed I'd be more relaxed if I could actually stay home and do something for myself or with Ash. I'm not exactly good at taking my family for too long... Let's hope there won't be any drama involved this year.
