pfttttttt chinese has a lot more "kanji" and there's a whole lotta more strokes. on top of that, the more strokes a character has in the traditional chinese, the more likely there's a simplified version so you have to remember THAT as well. XD i can't read simplified chinese to save my life. can't really read traditional either, to be honest. XD i'm only average when it comes to speaking pft. as long as i understand people when they're talking to me, i'm good. xD

yuuuuuuuuup. tell them, chinese is separated into traditional and simplified chinese, that there's more strokes in traditional and even knowing the simplified versions doesn't necessary mean you know the traditional as well....and from what i know, japanese use the more traditional kanji, i don't know if they use the simplified forms.
for ex.
dragon in traditional: 龍
dragon in simplified: 龙

well i've also seen the Japanese use the traditional chinese character for dragon too. but YEAH, you can see what i mean, they look so different lol.

nope, they aren't. and i think japanese looks even harder since there's so many...-anas? -jis? XD hiragana, katakana, kanji, romaji (which, iunno, does that one count haha?)
