So everyone is working on the hair... Well, they are expensive, but it looks like it's due to their length. All long hair are so expensive...

There's no way I will be able to get all the colors and it has been a long time since I've tried to get them all for a Candy Caravan item. So I'll get as much as I am able to - there are too many colors I like to get the ones I like anyway

I feel you. I'm still waiting for some fun items in certain colors because there's just nothing in my wardrobe to go well with what I have. Like I really would love to make a Tea Rose avi but I don't have many items that would go together without clashing due to different color combos.

I have a hard time making avis sometimes because I want to use colors x, y, and z, but then I'll find an item that will have to color x, but it'll be used with a different color that clashes with the rest. I hope I wrote that where it made sense. lol.

Perfectly clear. And true, it's a bummer when that happens, and it happens a lot.
On the other hand, it's hard to expect that we have only one or two combos per color. For one it would be boring and predictable, for two, people have different tastes and might like different combos. So I guess that's the lesser of two evils.

@Rubie, Ugh, same. Sometimes I find a gorgeous item and I'm like, that would go great with my current avi! But then it has like, a third color that clashes and I'm like, awww. :(

By no means a bad technique! XD

I end up using a lot of blues or greens or such that are similar but not the same if they happen to be matched with the same secondary color. It's hard but I do like the variety in all the different options.

@Kitalpha Hart, I somehow still can't make that work! Believe me, I've tried. It always comes out awful. Chaos loves me in my daily life, yet hates me in avatar creation. xD

@blackbriar, I give up on an item if there's a clashing color. Usually, I pretty much just choose 2-3 colors and then go to town. And then decide half-way through that it's not working and switch color schemes another three times before ending up with something I like. :D

I run through my item lists. Got multiple of a specific item? Pick the first, last, whatever one and then next one. And keep going until I've gone through an entire section. Then, next section

I have no clue how people make such pretty avis with so much chaos in them. Not saying it's a bad thing but I could never pull it off.
