Well, if I didn't know a word I'd be looking it up, too XD
I guess I'm somewhat oldfashioned and so I avoid certain words. I don't know why, it feels awkward somehow :mcconf: Maybe because it's pretty personal? Hmm...

When I was in college, we had a list of banned words during lunchtime (we were a rather large group of friends lunching together).
It all started because someone said virginity out loud, and another person said you could not said that out loud.
After an intense discussion (how we loved those!) we could not agree which words were allowed and which not, so each of us would ban a word of choice and that word would not be used during lunchtime.

Some banned words were sensible. Others no so much :mclaugh:
Oh, those were the times!

You guys talk a lot while I sleep XD

My friends back in the days had absolutely no filters. That made for very interesting conversations but there were things I didn't wish to know.
The friend I saw the other day has no filter either but since we were pretty positive no one around could understand our language at least we didn't disturb anyone but ourselves.

Since people wanted to hear good news, today husband and I are going to see an "air show". I put that into brackets because actually it's the rehearsal for the Paralympic opening ceremony and it'll be over in 2 minutes. But it makes for something to do and it's within walking distance.

He has a virginity rocks t-shirt. And since I'm spending the weekend with him, I just stole it ahahaha
Funny! Though you know, I get the impression that's definitely the kind of thing that should be discussed in a couple, since we were on the topic of conversation. :mclaugh:

@Kuuki, That sounds interesting! Rather short though, yeah. I don't think a two-minute show would be enough to get me to go out. xD

@jacobgrey, Congrats!!!

Yeah, I feel like the last two days some threads have been lively indeed :mccool:
Good, good, I hope that it won't all die now that the caravan left.

Btw how did you do? Did you manage to get a bunch of new stuff?
I did very well, I'm very happy :qn:

I have a friend with no filter.
She can ask the most private question in the worst moment, in the worst place, right in front of the less adequate person to hear it.
I love her, but I could kill her :mcdead:

At least my friends without filters don't do that. They do offer, well, interesting, informations about themselves but at least they don't ask about me.
I've been getting better at setting boundaries too so I'd shut them down right there.

@Moon Star: Yeah that's why I said it's not really an air show. It's more like saying hello, they're just flying over and they're gone. I wouldn't have gone if it wasn't that close and we used the opportunity to eat some good ramen and drink tea on a terrace while waiting for them since we were out anyway, guess it's more like a nice bonus. A very rare bonus since they don't usually get clearance for that (or more like they don't bother to ask I guess)

Thanks for the congrats, guys :)

It definitely seems like if you manage to catch it after a vaccine, it's much milder. Although I guess there are still some really bad cases. I'm not taking too many risks, either way. We managed to go out for dinner last night and drinks in a pub, but we were super careful about it. We chose a place that we knew has booths so we would be separated from all the other customers, and we stayed put and ordered from the table. And it was really nice to be out for a change!
(we only went out because our neighbours decided to have a block party without consulting anyone, lol. Got back just as they were finishing up. A whole group of at least 20 people were all dancing together in this tiny courtyard just under our balcony, including older people who were right in there without masks or anything. I'm so glad we went out for the most of it because the loud music, and the lack of social distancing, would have been driving me mad if we were home when it was happening)

I work in a factory. The massive high ups suck and the one supervisor is shit, but that supervisor is currently out long-term sick so we have one of the daytime supervisors so we have two good ones currently

He knows. He's made it clear multiple times that we are not doing anything in that aspect until I'm ready. Literally, last night he made a dry humping joke and bounced a few times and he apologized and reiterated that he wouldn't actually do it after how I reacted, which was to go from joking and cuddling to trying to shove him off

@jacobgrey:
Yes, so they say, if you are vaccinated it's milder.
Even so I think being cautious is better than running wild in block parties...

I do go out to terraces, and had lunch with my husband's family in their garden. But so far we prefer not going inside cafes/restaurants. Just in case.

@Kitalpha:
Jokes can sometimes be very disruptive, even when told when the best intentions.
I hope you talked it and the problem was solved. Going to bed angry is an awful thing.
