Got it yesterday too.
Just fot the sake of discussion, I logged into Useffel today - and he just found his Lost Snake Tiara right now.
It's close to 24 hours from your post, so I gues it's safe to assume the 24-window is a minimum.
For the next item I'll try to log into him two days later and see what happens.
