Machine Translations don't help you learn... though it does cause a lot of WTF moments. x'D

The only reason I knew what 'whale' was, was the context of the story.. =w=

the horse thing was just bad grammar from the machine translation.. funny one but still terrible.

Well iunno…xD i sometimes machine translate Chinese novel stuff and then i kind of fix it up into English and i think of that as translating…..xD besides, its all about starting small and working your way up. At least you’d have the experience.

So.. My betta was in a food coma for most of yesterday. he ate up all the little amano babies.

(Amano shrimp larvae need brackish water to turn into juvenile shrimp that need to live in fresh water. So... I'd rather they become betta food, giving my fish a more natural food source than just become corpses in the tank and filter.)

Some manga (detective conan) have furigana but its mostly children's books that has it.

Furigana are the small Hiragana above or next to a kanji, letting the reader know how it's read.

most manga only add furigana for the more difficult kanji o3o ran across one in By the Grace of the Gods. ... I tried looking it up and couldn't find it x-x like.. did they make a mistake?

The answer: it's better than a majority of the stuff I can understand.

I know some kanji like sky, cat, the first 99 numbers.. up, down... left and right get to me on occasion.. days of the week...

lol yeah i get that sometimes too, like people would ask why i would listen to something i don't understand. and i'm like "i hate english music because music these days have so much swearing and slang i don't understand and rap and i hate all that"

i can understand japanese words that are also chinese words.......8U but if you were to tell me to pronounce them, i might not always know, i'll probably just say how it is in chinese. XD
