That's what I do too.
I only get on there to update my books and write my reviews.
I mean, it's not a place to chat or do anything else...

It really isn't. I once accepted a random friend request because why not. Ended up being some random person pushing a book they wrote. That is one way to get someone not to read your book. Like constantly harassed me to read it. I never replied to them because it was annoying.

I would not say I don't care what other people think, cause I do, but I've learned to limit it to certain aspects of my life.
Other aspects are just private, nobody has a right to mind those business.

I've started reading another book. It's about bipolar disorder (I was recently diagnosed with it) and my brain tried to convince me to not read it because it might be scary to know the dark parts but then I told myself "hey, it's just a book, it's not gonna bite you and it's better to know than not". So I took it and read a few pages I'm so proud of myself, you have no idea

I just picked up another biography, this one of Eugene Bullard. I've been on a WWI history kick lately (started by trying to figure out basic engineering which was side-tracked onto how bicycles worked and converting them into pedal power options for household appliances which was side-tracked onto early transportation options which was sidetracked from trains into canals into hot air balloons into early biplanes into WWI which I *think* was the first conflict that planes were used in? I know they also used hot air balloons which still cracks me up, but it was also the last war they used hot air balloons in (which makes much more sense) and ANYHOW.
Libraries and used bookstores are dangerous places. I only meant to go for a quick visit, 15 minutes at most.
Then they closed and kicked me out and I'd lost the whole day.

Wow, that's a decent rabbit whole Wikipedia style, but in a real life library. How vintage I only do that sport online
I recently noticed a library near me and I thought I might go there, get their membership card or something. I don't even know what public libraries do, lol. I did once have access to Warsaw University Library but I used it once and I hated it because it was huge and full of people who gave zero fucks about me, but my brain gave all the fucks about them, lol. I think a small library might be a better fit for me.
