I remember when getting materials actually felt like a great freebie!
After you get a ton of knuffels, you either have the materials already or you are too lazy to dig with them all xD

Or when new digging items are released!
I try to dig with my knuffels frequently because that way they earn more XP, but I only do my best when there is an event or new digging items.
