Another awesome Google Pixel function is call screening!
If I get a call from a number I don't know, I can press a "screen call" button, and it will relay an automated message telling the caller to state their name. If the caller does reply, I have the option to either pick up, or mark the call as a wrong number (which will trigger another automated message), or mark it as spam and block.
Basically I don't have to pick up the phone QuQ And it's beautiful for scam calls!

Call Screening -ha ha ha ha, it took that long to bring back the old standby of "have it go straight to your answering machine, pick it up only if the person who starts talking is someone you know" from back in the days when everything was landline only?

(I still laugh at the early wireless phones. Walkie-talkies!)

Right? Now you mention it IS exactly what landlines used to have with the voicemail function, I don't know why all phones don't have it yet XD

still, even with all this......i might just get an iphone.....8U found out that the iTouch/iPod line is being shelved for good.......8U so if something happens to my current iTouch, i'm screwed...or i'll have to buy an iPhone.......XD that or stock up on some iTouchs now lol. XD

I got my first iPod when I was in junior high XD

It can be misleading anyhow because some families are early adapters and others have a strong luddite tendency, lol.
So you can have two people who grew up in the same time period with very differing levels of tech-familiarity as childhood memories.

I might have grown up with typewriters... but so did one of my grandmothers. And we tend towards long generations in our family, ha ha ha.

I was still using a keyboard phone when most of my peers had iPhones! Rather proud of that LOL

Kids nowadays have smartphones way too early though... I get concerned when I see toddlers tapping on iPhones or iPads in their strollers 0_0
