New tangent: what would you guys say is the most unique/interesting place that's near your home?

For me it's this large pond that houses dozens and dozens of geese.
There's a lot of poop but the scenary is fun! In the spring there are many baby geese to look at :D

ive lived in one place for my entire life.....8U my younger sister has more experience with living in other places lol.
we live near lake ontario (?) so we have creeks and stuff in the area.

There's a nice little park on the riverfront close to where I live. It's got swings and stuff and there's actually a free water area where you can cool off in the summer heat. It's very nice.

Spouse likes to stare at the river when he's depressed.


I've lived in a few different places.
Growing up I lived in like 5 different places?
And as an adult, I've moved to 4 different places.

I've moved around a bunch both in China and in Canada >__<
New places are fun but starting over is always intimidating

It seems that we're all close to scenery XD cement blocks and streams and ponds~
What about leisurely activities?
I live in this area with lots of old people (though recent years the high school student population grew) so if I want to go to fun malls, restuarants, or just any entertainment really I have to bus for an hour to the next city /D;;;

My husband spent his entire childhood in the house we're currently living in.

It's very interesting to me. lol.

What do you mean by leisurely?

There used to be a movie theater close by, but it shut down.

There are a lot of restaurants near by but they're mostly fast food.

If you want to go to a mall you gotta drive at least a half hour. By bus it's probably over an hour.

Things like malls, movie theatres, interesting restaurants that aren't fast food...

The city next to mine had been overrun by Chinese people, so on the positive side, it's filled with authentic cuisine from all over China, asian stores, karaoke, escape rooms... etc etc. Basically if I want to have a "young person" day I have to bus a lot XD

We have a couple of Chinese restaurants here but I don't think that they're authentic at all. Ones a buffet. They do have pretty good sushi. It's not fancy but it's nice.

I do like that at Chinese buffets they often have a crappy pizza as an option. I assume for picky children. lol.

In my city most of the 'fun' is just clubs and bars. And I like alcohol but I'm not fond of clubs and bars. They're too loud. Can't do anything besides drink. It's boring. I'd rather play board games with a few people.
