no? i feel like my employers interview a lot of ppl but noone ever really sticks. most of them are for the production side, like maint people and the like, so i never really get to SEE them before they're gone again. XD;;

but the new hire is for the retail store downstairs (our company is separated into 3 sections: office administration on the 2nd floor, retail store in the front on the first floor and meat production facility at the back). the new hire is the retail assistant manager which just means he's just idling about in front of the cash while occasionally introducing customers what our products are when either the CEO or co-owner or office administrator isn't working retail........XD;; he seems nice, got a bit of an accent. his last name is Ishchenko which i think is either Russian or Ukrainian or something...8U hearing his accent, i would have to agree on one or the other...xD;;

Considering how things are nowadays, the difference between being Ukrainian and Russian is soooo big ^^;

yeaaaaaahh true dat. i'm not gonna judge though so i'm not gonna ask unless they tell me. 8U

In a way our company is the same LOL in that we also interview many tutors but very few stick around

Funny story, the other day we hired a new math tutor, but he got dropped after just one class because he sucks at math? XDDD;;;;;
I only heard about this second hand, but apparently during tutoring he was missing mistakes that even the student's mom caught, and was saying the student was doing a question wrong but it turns out the student was right?

What kind of people do you hire as a math tutor?

loool a math teacher who's....not good at math? XD;; well that's weird, wouldn't you have to take tests or something to show that you're actually GOOD at something you're teaching before you can be hired??

Where I work the interview process includes a part where you have to give a 15 minute demo class. Apparently, he failed at that too by not being able to explain anything clearly?

I think our boss still put him on part time because we're short on math teachers and he probably made the decision with kinda a "backup" mentality? Nobody expected him to be THIS bad though. XD;;;;;

Due to this back up mentality, we don't fire any teachers either. Just stops giving them classes and students /D;;;

Not fired? And they pay them anyway? Because, hey, if I get paid for not having any class... count me in.

Oh no the way our part time works is that you can paid for the amount of hours you work. So if you don't have any classes you don't get paid. XD

I think it's a good system because I get to control how much I want to work/earn. If I want to make more this month I'll take more classes, if I want a rest I'll turn down some classes /o/
