I think it's 33 degrees outside, and that's as cold as it'll get this winter. For Louisiana, that is REALLY cold lol.

It's cold >__<
Like -1 °C to -4 °C which would be around 30 F to 25 F which to me feels very cold. But at least it was sunny today :3

oh. i don't think that's too cold, at least not for someone like me who lives in canada. xD although, i hear temps are gonna drop the next few days. they said on my weather app yesterday that it was suppose to have 90% chance of snow. instead, we got that 10% where there was NO snow. XD;; instead, all my snowflakes on the weather app for today has been replaced with wind. xD;;

We're facing a storm here, too.
I just finished pruning the roses back, and I don't know if a storm now will be a problem for them or not. I am not a very knowledgeable gardener when it comes to roses. Using rose products, sure, got that covered. Keeping the plants alive?
Ehhhhhhh....

Not hot but not cold either. It's windy, and that makes it seem to be a little colder than it actually is. We had heavy rain a few days ago, but nothing too bad. I've never seen real snow ;-;

It's a fine and fun thing to experience different climes. If you ever have a chance to make a trip somewhere that has snow, be bold and do it!

That said, I moved *away* from a snowy place as soon as I was an adult and could. Ha ha ha, it's nice and all, but I'm a fan of being warm. :qlol:

Two of my cousins just moved from the middle east to Florida, in the USA (they're in the home nursing field and the client's family paid them a LOT to make the move; makes me think about switching careers). We've been getting a constant barrage of emails and calls (and texts, for the family that have smart phones) about the weather there ever since, it's really funny to me. The actual temperatures aren't really that different. But going from a dry climate to a wet one is apparently a really hard transition for them, and they are quite vocal about it.

The worst part of the weather where I'm from is that it could be 20 degrees outside (which is REALLY cold where I'm from) and then the next day it'll be 70+ degrees out. I want to live somewhere with mild weather, but I don't know if I'll ever find it.

Does your family attend university here? If they don't, they should consider it. The more educated nurses are the more $$$$$ they make in the south. Travel nurses really rack it up.

Oh, they already have enough they could retire if they wanted to, they're both just workaholics and if they're going to work anyhow they figure they may as well make good money while they're at it.

Only one of them has kids, and since her kids are all already grown and out of the house she didn't see any reason not to move (her husband can work anywhere, and is currently in Italy anyhow).
So I don't think they'll bother going for more schooling while they're in Florida.
