my feet are kinda cold now, even with socks. xD;; i just wish they'd stop teasing with the snow predictions and just.........snow already. get it over with. lol

I suppose you could just stop looking at the predictions and let it surprise you when it finally does snow?

Is the snow late this year for you? Or is it about the right timing, it's just the hype from the predictions are getting to everyone?

I live 45mins from the Gulf of Mexico, and we get hurricanes sometimes. When they're in season it's really hard to not watch the weather. If one is coming through, we'll hear from local talk that it is. It's also evident from the way people shop before they evacuate. We're still healing from the one we got three years ago. Insurance companies are charging us outrageous money to cover insurance. The church I grew up in was quoted over a hundred thousand dollars a year. Some homes can't get insurance because we go through a period of time where insurance won't let us insure new structures. Some of the homes that were impacted are still trying to recover even though it's been almost four years. I had my daughter two weeks after land fall, and FEMA wouldn't give me any assistance for her because she was born after land fall.

iunno, i feel like in canada, having snow so late in the winter season seems.......well late. cuz canada. and winter. with snow. which, at least in my area, we haven't had much of. xD;;

We had a flock of birds come through yesterday, and I thought they were all gone but today there are a few stragglers and they're looking very entertaining.
The temperature took a dip again, so they're all poofed up and round with their feathers fluffed out.

I can't read bird faces, but in my head they're all grumpy and disgruntled birds, going, "Hrmph, what happened to the weather? Hrmph, harrumph!"

i saw the sun today. xD from indoors but still, the sun was out. xD i opened my super dark blue blinds to let some of it in.

still cold though, it apparently feels like -11C with windchill factored in. 8u

Do you use a sunlamp for days when there is no sun?

nope. ive heard of those but ive never actually seen on in person. i hear a sunlamp is good so that your mood isn't so blue and depressing, bc we need sun during the months/seasons where we don't get enough.

Yes, they're very popular here.
Even a lot of office buildings and workplaces provide them in break rooms for employees, and the shopping complexes that are high-end sometimes have them in the seating areas.

I don't know if they're really that effective or everyone just believes they work so they cheer up thinking they'll be more cheerful, but either way, so long as it makes people happy, it's not like there's any known bad side-effects to worry about!

personally, i haven't seen them here. although, i wouldn't know since its possible that some places have replaced their lights for sunlamps.

still, even with less sun, my mood hasn't been too bad. i just feel a bit blah when its all cloudy and gray outside. xD
