They do, at least mine has, and it is Tokyo so ...
Also turtles, a lot of them.
We also have racoons and tanuki, things like minks but not, I can't remember the name in English. Also stray cats.
They also have found foxes on the riverbanks apparently. I also know that London has a surprisingly large population of foxes.

We have the occasional report of a black bear in town

Tbh, I feel like critters in the city seems pretty dangerous to the critters themselves. I’d rather they stay out of the city instead of accidentally dying in them.

There's not enough land that's NOT cities for that to work long-term, though. Not unless population growth trends suddenly reverse for some reason (and I really don't see that happening)

City life can be really easy for some critters too, you have an easy and endless access to food in the form of trash.
It's also why the bears are getting closer to cities, they're looking for food.

Besides, I think many of them have totally adapted and would not be able to survive in their natural habitat anymore.

still, i feel like theres a lot more dangers in cities for wildlife. what with the cars, tall buildings, humans......etc and so on.

Somewhere there's foxes that use the subway system to get to their hunting grounds and back home

Wildlife that cannot adapt, doesn't stay.
I rarely ever see roadkills in the middle of the city too, except for the occasional pigeon.

The crows especially have adapted to the point they play pranks on humans. There was one who loved to steal metro tickets. They also tend to steal metal hangers to make their nest then causing electricity breakouts.
I am pretty sure they would win in a war against us.
