Yes, you are right. :mchappy: Also not only did Robbie Coltrane play an iconic, much loved character he was also an amazing actor. I used to watch him in a TV show called Cracker. He was brilliant in it!

I’ve never seen the other actors in anything else. Although actually I think I might’ve seen Alan rickman in something else. Don’t remember what but I think I have.

I first saw Alan Rickman in Die Hard, he played the villain. After that I watched him in Love Actually :qh:

I swear I’ve seen him somewhere. Maybe even heard him from somewhere. But I can’t actually remember where. And it’s not from the two you mentioned bc I didn’t see those lol.

That man was obviously very talented and much of his career was spent creating memorable villains.

I found an article about him and Daniel Radcliff and how terrified Daniel was in the beginning and I thought i would quote it here because it was so interesting.

But it's quite long and if you don't want to read a wall of text :mcwink: the conversation i copied came from this podcast:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYJ7W0mJZUA

Radcliffe appeared visibly moved by the clip of Rickman, who died in 2016 at 69 years old. Rickman starred in the “Harry Potter” movies as Severus Snape. Radcliffe, of course, was Harry Potter.

“Thanks for showing that. I’ve never seen that before. Thank you,” Radcliffe told Horowitz.

“I was so intimidated by Alan Rickman. How can you not be by that voice?” the actor told the audience. “Even hearing that voice you forget quite how low it was until it echoes through you. I was so intimidated by him for the first three movies. I was terrified by him and was like, ‘This guy hates me.’ Somewhere along the lines he saw that I really wanted to do this and work at it.”

Radcliffe remembered how Rickman became one of his biggest supporters, even once ending a personal vacation early so he could catch Radcliffe on Broadway.

“He cut short a vacation in Canada to come and see me in ‘Equus.’ He saw every piece of stage work I did when he was alive,” Radcliffe added. “He would take me out afterwards and we would talk about it. He was one of the first people to say like, ‘You should look at voice coaching and investigate all this stuff, you're so talented.’
"I am so lucky. To hear him say that is really lovely. Thank you for showing me that.”

Sorry, I guess I hijacked this thread :qoops: I just thought it was so sweet :)

Aww that’s so sweet. Yeah even visually, Alan looked very intimidating. As a kid, I’m sure he scared a few ppl. He seems like those kinds of ppl who never smile. And that voice! His voice was so unique but he really captured that villainous kind of voice. Like just when he’s speaking slowly as Snape, like he just disdains you or is like disgusted at your ineptitude. He was truly one of a kind.
